Trying to build something in web3 is intimidating.
There are so many smart people out there working, building, tweeting, creating blogs and just being AWESOME.
As in any new industry we see ‘royalty’ rising from the ground as if by magic. They say the coolest things, have be best ideas and hang out with the best people. This creates a sort of ‘light house effect’ - a centralized structure that voyagers seek out as a signal of safety.
This group of people don’t mean for it to be so, it’s simply human nature.
However, this causes a problem for other light house builders.
“There are already so many lighthouses in the area, is there a place for me?”
The answer is no. There isn’t a place for you, yet. At least, not here. Trying to build a lighthouse next to another light house will get you ignored, create confusion and most likely get you ignored.
The solution is to find a space in web3 where they desperately need a lighthouse.
Web2 opportunities were concentrated and finite. Web3 opportunities are distributed and infinite.
Your potential as a builder is no longer limited by a niche you can own. But rather by a community you can serve with your unique perspective, experience and ability to create change.
Find a space in the unknown that needs a lighthouse, and start building there.
