Human beings love to be right.
In fact, if our status is on the line or we would experience sunk cost, we will spend inordinate amount of time convicting ourselves that we are right. Indeed if push comes to shove we will even fight with others about the veracity of our opinions.
The same energy we spend on convincing ourselves and others that we are right, could have been used to plan and execute on a change that needs to be made.
Not just any change.
A change that makes the world better. This kind of change does not happen when we are concerned with being right.
This change for the better starts with a powerful intent to create something that will alter the way people experience the world. The energy we would have used to convince and blindly execute our assertions will flow through this intent and manifest a world that didn’t exist before.
Not a world dictated by code and cold processes. One that is warm and inviting, where we know we are safe and feel like we belong.
That is the kind of change we have the opportunity to create, and it starts with the intent to make change.
Not being right.
