Right now, AI feels like it’s everywhere.
Every day, there’s a new tool.
A new model.
A new agent builder.
And for individuals and businesses trying to wrap their heads around it all, it’s easy to feel completely overwhelmed.
I get it.
But here’s the thing:
AI goes way beyond chatting with a bot and getting an answer.
It’s not just about asking Claude or GPT a question and watching the magic happen.
It’s about building systems that actually do things for you.
That’s where the real power sits.
So if you’re trying to get started, here’s how I’d think about it.
Step 1: Explore LLMs
Start simple.
→ Get your hands on Claude, GPT, Gemini.
→ Test how they handle writing, summarising, research, and brainstorming.
Play around. Break things.
You’ll learn faster than you think.
I’ve lost count of how many people tell me:
“I didn’t know it could do that.”
But they only found out because they started poking around.
Step 2: Layer in Automation & Agents
Once you’re comfortable chatting with the models, step it up.
This is where the fun starts.
→ N8N for custom workflows that glue different apps together.
→ Lindy for building agents that handle specific tasks.
→ Google Vertex or Azure AI Foundry if you’re going enterprise-level.
→ Relevance AI for custom vector workflows and more nuanced data handling.
These tools let you go beyond answers and actually start automating real work.
Imagine:
A daily report delivered automatically
Emails summarised and categorised
CRM entries updated without lifting a finger
It’s not sci-fi. It’s happening right now.
Step 3: Dive into MCP
Here’s where things get spicy.
When you’re ready to plug AI directly into apps like Outlook, Slack, or your CRM, that’s where MCP (Model Context Protocol) comes in.
Think of MCP as the bridge between AI and your business tools.
It’s how you turn conversations into real-world actions across your stack.
Instead of just getting an answer, AI can now:
→ Book a meeting
→ Update a record
→ Send a follow-up email
That’s the difference between chat and systems.
It’s easy to get lost in the noise.
New tools pop up every five minutes.
But if you’re serious about AI, remember this:
The real power isn’t just in chat, it’s in systems that work for you.
Start small. Test stuff.
And when you’re ready to go deeper?
That’s what I do every day, If you want to connect hit me up, would love to chat.
Let’s build something real.
