Amps is a new service on Farcaster that allows users to get paid when friends post. Accessible through a Frame, this service integrates seamlessly with Warpcast, making it one of the most natural monetization tools built on the platform.
Currently in waitlist mode, Amps allows users to register and earn whenever their friends choose them to boost their content.
Register your profile – Sign up and allow those you follow to recast content from your profile
Boost your network – Only those you follow can recast using your account
Get paid – Receive payment directly to your connected wallet when someone selects you to recast
Revoke anytime – No long-term commitment; you can opt-out at any time
One of the great things about Amps is how well it fits into Warpcast’s existing social design. It seamlessly aligns with how people engage on Farcaster, setting an example for other Frame developers looking to create useful and monetizable social tools.
This introduces an entirely new way to monetize social influence, bridging the gap between engagement, amplification, and direct payments.
I gained access as an early tester and was able to boost the cast below. Entering the Frame, I could scroll through my recent casts and select the one I wanted to boost. After selecting, it loaded my followers along with pricing for each. I picked five followers and paid about $15 USDC for the boost.

The experience was smooth, and I really think Farcaster builders looking to share their new products or businesses looking for customers will find regular use for Amps.
We'll have to wait and see if they add more engagement options beyond just recasts (which I believe is on the roadmap) and how this paid boosting model integrates with the weekly Warpcast rewards leaderboard.

Absolutely. Once it’s fully live, I’ll be testing it out to see how much real value can be generated. More importantly, it’ll be interesting to see how this kind of monetization changes engagement dynamics on Farcaster.
The big question: Will more social networks adopt similar monetization models? If so, Amps could set a new standard for social earnings.
