After going through our list of ReFi news items for 2024, I couldn't help but notice just how many were partnership/collaboration announcements. Every week, it seemed, 2-3 projects were announcing a new one, often with only vague allusions to intended outcomes.
It made me wonder: whatever came of these partnership and collaboration announcements? Was anything actually being accomplished or were they just window dressing on a slow social media week?
The thing about the ReFi/Regen space is that we love ourselves some collaboration. It's a borderline obsession at this point. Sometimes, like with the case of the recently formed Regen Coordination Hub, the results speak for themselves. Other times, there are simply no results at all. That's because, for the most part, we have no way tracking whether the parties follow through on their proposed synergies.
Not that ReFi is the only space that needs to hear this, but what if we introduced a collaboration accountability tracker? What if we were as open about our partnerships as we are about our impact?
It's something we're going to explore this year. We know collaboration/partnerships are critical to the success of the space, so we want to give projects the tools to do better. Public accountability seems like a great place to start.
More on that in the near future!
We are delighted to be in the Glo Dollar x Optimism Builders round! We keep a good chunk of our current treasury in USDGLO and think everyone else should do the same to support public goods!
If you have some funds to spare, we'd appreciate some love. 💚

Collaboration is a big part of ReFi. But are we over-partnering and under-delivering? https://paragraph.xyz/@carboncopy/is-there-such-thing-as-too-much-collaboration
