The past few months brought so much more than summer's end & spooky szn:

• Contributing curators in our inaugural rotating Curation Cycle onboarded artists spanning genres and continents

• We published our first long-form stories about a new Brazilian music scene emerging from the lineage of baile funk, plus the cinesonic universe of Boston-raised artist Ed Balloon. Blog era back.

• We also aired (and recorded!) #OnTheRecord Twitter Space episodes that focused on standout web3 music rollouts, cultural permanence, and the ups & downs of crypto in Puerto Rico

• Our biweekly Discord #Cook-Off challenge brought us together to remix stems from Low Leaf, Abjo, Dot, & Devin Morrison (bless them).

• From Dev Land, a mega-update: Mobile Search is live on Catalog 🏁

• Ethereum hit its one-month anniversary as a PoS network, which reduced its energy usage and estimated emissions by more than 99%

Curatorial environments must prioritize new voices with passionate ears.
