Resolved issues in the CESS Node, including the inability to validate TEE Worker signatures and conflicts in renaming within the territory module.
Upgraded the storage node commands for adding staking and increasing storage space, addressing issues that previously caused these commands to fail.
Additionally, fixed problems preventing DeOSS and DeShare from properly uploading and downloading user files.
CESS hosted a space where Chairman & Co-Founder, Nick discussed “Venture Capital Trends in Web3: What Investors are Looking For”. With over 2.5k attendees expected, this session is set to offer valuable insights and opportunities in the Web3 space.
CESS Cyber Security Expert, Frank participated in a live session on YouTube to explore the Testnet Venus (v0.7.7) Miner Workshop.
CESS participated in an extraordinary AMA hosted by FoxWallet Official, featuring leading voices in the crypto space including SFT Protocol, Filecoin, and Titan Network.
CESS participated in an insightful panel discussion on the future of decentralized infrastructure, hosted by OpenPad, featuring industry leaders from CESS, InitVerse, and Multiple Global, exploring how blockchain technology will revolutionize industries.
The CESS testnet has been updated to Venus (v0.7.7) and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Node [v0.7.7]
Deployed 10 additional CESS Nodes to ensure the stable operation of the testnet.
Fixed issues where some TEE Workers’ signatures could not be correctly parsed and validated due to outdated codebases.
Resolved conflicts in the territory module renaming function caused by the lack of unique name checks.
Reduced the Gas fees for CESS Node transactions to prevent excessive account balance depletion from frequent transactions.
2. Storage Node [v0.7.11]
Fixed issues where storage nodes could not effectively add staking due to incorrect token unit conversions.
Resolved failures in increasing storage space when the staking account and signing account were not consistent.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and CD²N (content decentralized delivery network) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure network) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, DeOSS (decentralized object storage services) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, DeShare (online file sharing tool), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this month are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Fixed issues where DeOSS could not properly upload user files due to network connection errors.
Resolved problems with DeOSS being unable to download user file fragments from remote storage nodes.
Fixed issues preventing light cache nodes from interacting with work protocol smart contracts.
Online File Sharing Tool (DeShare):
Fixed issues preventing DeShare from downloading user-uploaded files properly.
11 days after the Venus (v0.7.7) testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer CESS Scan. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
21 consensus nodes
4,250 storage nodes
3.53 PiB verified storage space
29.32 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. The ongoing miner reward event in the CESS testnet incentivizes participation from storage and consensus miners, allowing them to earn points while contributing to the network’s growth and development.
CESS hosted the inaugural Weekly Space event, diving into “Venture Capital Trends in Web3: What Investors are Looking For,” featuring CESS co-founder Nick, along with experts from IVC, DWF Labs, Ga³in Ventures, and SFT Protocol, set to provide valuable insights and opportunities in the Web3 space.

CESS Cyber Security Expert, Frank participated in a live session on YouTube to explore the Testnet Venus (v0.7.7) Miner Workshop and gained hands-on experience in setting up a CESS consensus node. Attendees were invited to join and watch live on YouTube, with the opportunity to ask their questions in real time and become an integral part of the CESS network.

CESS participated in an extraordinary AMA hosted by FoxWallet Official, featuring leading voices in the crypto space including SFT Protocol, Filecoin, and Titan Network, with discussions focused on “The Future of AI and DePIN in the Blockchain Ecosystem.” Attendees had the chance to gain insights from some of the most promising DePIN projects and compete for a prize pool of 2000 rSPD and 3 exclusive NFTs.

CESS participated in an insightful panel discussion on the future of decentralized infrastructure, hosted by OpenPad. The discussion featured key industry leaders, including Alex Liu, DevRel Lead at CESS, Nicholas, COO at InitVerse, and James Radford, Co-Founder of Multiple Global. The session explored how decentralized infrastructure is poised to revolutionize various industries through blockchain technology.
