Fixed issues with the Ceseal program failing to hand over shared keys and getting blocked while calculating tags, improving TEE Worker stability.
Added a new feature for storage nodes to proactively retrieve shared keys, preventing nodes from malfunctioning due to lost keys.
Completed the development of the js-sdk Metamask wallet frontend version, enabling users to transfer CESS tokens via Metamask in browsers or Dapps, greatly enriching the usage scenarios for CESS.
CESS has attracted significant attention on Twitter with the $8M Series A fundraising round and innovative decentralized storage and CDN solutions in the DePIN field.
CESS was honored to partner with MailZero Network.
The first session of the CESS Course CESS Course is progressing smoothly, and it has now entered the student team formation stage.
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.6 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Node [v0.7.6]
Fixed an issue causing errors in the CESS Node benchmark testing tool.
Refactored the whitelist module of the Ceseal program to prevent registration of untrusted TEE Workers.
Fixed the issue with the Ceseal program failing to hand over shared keys.
Resolved the issue of TEE Worker getting blocked while calculating tags, rendering all services unusable.
2. Storage Node [v0.7.9]
Fixed the issue where storage nodes required GLIBC_v2.32 and GLIBC_v2.34 during runtime.
Added the functionality for storage nodes to retrieve shared keys, allowing them to recover lost keys.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Completed the development of the js-sdk Metamask wallet frontend version, enabling operation in browsers.
Fixed the issue with DeOSS not functioning properly due to disk space being full.
Blockchain Explorer (Substats):
Updated Substats browser to display TECESS token quantities in 18 digits.
CESS Website (cess.cloud)
Improved the CESS DAO Cloud Mining Program activity page for more accurate information transmission.
18 days after the v0.7.6 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
17 consensus node
1496 storage node
1.08 PiB verified storage space
10.94 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. The ongoing miner reward event in the CESS testnet incentivizes participation from storage and consensus miners, allowing them to earn points while contributing to the network’s growth and development.
Following the successful announcement of CESS’s $8 million Series A funding, we want to express our gratitude to respected influencers who highlighted our achievements. Many individual influencers and researchers have shown interest in CESS, conducting research and reporting on our progress.
CESS partnered with MailZero Network, a new age of decentralized email. Break free from centralized control, and embrace privacy and security.
CESS have a strong cohort of 50 students enrolled in the current session. We’re now in the 4th week of our session, with the 3rd week’s assessment due later this month. We’re excited about the progress and engagement of our students!
