Optimized and upgraded the nodeadm program, adjusting multiple user input prompts for more accurate node configuration. This lowers the operational threshold for all nodes.
Upgraded the idle space proof algorithm library’s random challenge proof and verification module, making the calculation, submission, and verification of idle random challenge proofs faster. This effectively improves the efficiency of storage nodes in completing proofs.
Integrated Metamask wallet-based CESS token transfer and account signature functionalities into the js-sdk, supporting Dapps in using Metamask wallets for login, transfers, and authorization, a significant step in enriching the CESS ecosystem.
CESS Co-Founder & Chairman, Nicholas was invited to join R3al World at ETHDenver by IoTeX for a visionary talk.
CESS Co-Founder & Chairman, Nicholas participated in the Polkadot Mini-Summit at ETHDenver.
CESS participated in an engaging session at the DWF Labs Haus — Builders Connect during ETHDenver, showcasing their innovative approach to decentralized storage and CDN solutions.
CESS Co-founder & COO Jessie was invited to participate in the AMA event “dePINspired: Ask the Experts” hosted by Bitrue Official.
CESS showcased its innovative decentralized storage and content delivery network solutions during a livestream with PukeCastCN
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.6 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Node [v0.7.6]
Completed the development of CESS image-building scripts for the unified, convenient, and error-free building of various CESS program images.
Upgraded the nodeadm program to provide more concise, accurate, and clear user input prompts.
Upgraded the TEE Worker idle space proof algorithm library, optimizing the random challenge verification process to improve verification speed.
Added task processing time logs for various functions in the TEE Worker Ceseal program to monitor node task processing.
2. Storage Node [v0.7.9]
Completed the upgrade of the storage node’s idle space proof module, significantly reducing interactions with the TEE Worker.
Fixed an issue where storage nodes were unable to complete random challenge proofs within an effective timeframe due to disk read/write speed limitations.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Upgraded the js-sdk to include a collection of tools for CESS token transfers via Metamask wallets.
Blockchain Explorer (Substats):
Implemented the ability to export storage node data from Substats browser and send it to an email address.
Implemented the ability to parse all block events in the Substats browser backend.
CESS Website (cess.cloud)
Completed the development and launch of the CESS mainnet genesis node activity page.
Updated and improved the partner’s logo section on the homepage.
32 days after the v0.7.6 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
22 consensus node
3,859 storage node
2.87 PiB verified storage space
24.22 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. The ongoing miner reward event in the CESS testnet incentivizes participation from storage and consensus miners, allowing them to earn points while contributing to the network’s growth and development.
