Upgraded the TEE Worker key-sharing module by implementing on-chain key encryption channels, enhancing control and protection of shared keys in the CESS network. This upgrade simplifies network complexity and improves key-sharing efficiency.
Completed storage node file upload stress testing, demonstrating stable and reliable operation of all services even after continuous uploading and storage of a large number of files. This marks a significant improvement in the stability of the CESS storage network.
Optimized the DeOSS file scheduling mechanism to prioritize the distribution of user files to storage nodes that can provide excellent download services. This encourages storage nodes to enhance the quality of download services, improving overall user file access efficiency.
CESS participated in AlphaDAY (7) at the B2GC Thailand Blockchain Government Conference on Jan 18th, hosted by ThreeDAO in Phuket.
CESS joined a January 19th AMA to discuss the future of DePIN.
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.5 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Node [v0.7.5]
Completed the online upgrade of CESS Node, updating the maximum limit of random challenge penalty to 42 times to verify the latest optimization adjustments in the economic model.
Completed benchmarking for all CESS Node pallets.
Completed the writing of the TEE Worker user guide, including introductions to TEE Worker types, deployment methods, and principles.
Upgraded the TEE Worker key-sharing module using on-chain encrypted channels to replace the original p2p network, enhancing security and stability.
2. Storage Node [v0.7.8]
Fixed an issue where querying the starting block height for non-signing account staking failed.
Conducted storage node file upload stress testing using automated scripts, ensuring the nodes’ storage services remained in good condition.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Updated the DeOSS user operation guide, providing comprehensive API request examples based on the latest version of DeOSS.
Optimized the DeOSS file scheduling mechanism to prioritize user file distribution to storage nodes with good download services.
Online File Sharing Tool (DeShare)
Upgraded the DeShare backend email module to support sending file names, download links, and other information to users’ specified email addresses.
Completed the development and launch of the new version of the DeShare frontend page.
52 days after the v0.7.5 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
8 consensus node
1,048 storage node
2.00 PiB verified storage space
7.32 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. Points can be exchanged for CESS tokens when the mainnet launches.
CESS participated in AlphaDAY (7) at the B2GC Thailand Blockchain Government Conference on Jan 18th, hosted by ThreeDAO in Phuket. The event concluded perfectly, marking a successful and seamless conclusion.

CESS participated in an AMA on January 19th where participants could learn all about DePIN! The guests included TabiNFT Co-Founder Mori, Club3BD Lead Adele, Network3 Founder Rock, and Armonia Meta Chain BD Lead John, exploring the future of DePIN.
