Issues such as nodeadm deployment failure and compilation problems after merging CESS Node repositories were fixed this week. Details of the implementation in various modules of the CESS storage network were further refined.
The CESS chain now supports Ethereum token conversion and is compatible with the MetaMask wallet, significantly expanding CESS’s application scenarios and improving user experience.
Upgrades and improvements were made to storage nodes and go-sdk this week to enhance efficiency and communication quality among nodes in the storage network.
CESS has officially announced the first batch of ambassadors with their expertise and dedication. These ambassadors will actively represent and promote CESS, contributing to community engagement, collaboration, and fostering awareness.
CESS Co-Founder & Chairman, Nicholas, engaged in two insightful AMA sessions.
CESS concluded its active involvement in the four-week Polkadot Blockchain Academy
CESS Course Recruitment Extended!
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.5 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Node [v0.7.5]
Fixed the issue with nodeadm v1.5.2 not being able to deploy consensus nodes in certain situations.
Resolved the compilation issue after merging the CESS Node and TEE Worker repositories.
Updated the CESS chain’s token from 12 digits to 18 digits for better conversion with Ethereum tokens.
Achieved compatibility of the CESS chain with the MetaMask wallet to enhance user experience.
2. Storage Node [v0.7.8]
Updated the storage node’s gRPC communication module to adapt to the latest version of TEE Worker’s interaction requirements.
Added the functionality for storage nodes to save idle space proof keys, reducing the number of queries to obtain keys on the chain.
CESS is a blockchain-powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Added the ability to parse block timestamps in go-sdk.
Enhanced go-sdk’s on-chain event parsing functionality, supporting the parsing of all system transaction events.
Blockchain Explorer (Substats):
Completed the design and creation of the new version of substats’ backend database tables.
Completed the development of the new version of the substats’ backend, focusing on parsing block transactions.
59 days after the v0.7.5 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
10 consensus node
1,233 storage node
2.25 PiB verified storage space
7.90 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. Points can be exchanged for CESS tokens when the mainnet launches.
CESS has proudly introduced the first batch of ambassadors, congrats to Alexander, Boluwasefe Oyinloye, Dr Kelvin Cho, Antônio Marcelo, Alan Donati, Elkan, and Andy for their remarkable efforts.
