CESS v0.7.6 is now officially online, featuring significant updates such as improved storage node staking, optimized idle space proof algorithms, and enhanced file upload processes. Experience the latest version now!
Fixes were implemented for issues like TEE Worker being unable to verify active file tag signatures and failure in tagging active files.
File upload stress tests were conducted on CESS v0.7.6 Testnet, validating the normal functioning of all system modules.
CESS **Testnet v0.7.6 **has been launched with optimizations and updates for consensus nodes, storage nodes, and DeOSS.
CESS Co-Founder & Chairman, Nicholas, took part in a space to discuss the breaking down of DePIN.
CESS Senior Ambassador Andy participated in a space hosted by SingularLabs discussing the upcoming summer of Omnichain NFTs.
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.6 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Node [v0.7.6]
Resolved TEE Worker issues related to verifying user active file tag signatures.
Adjusted parameters in idle space proof algorithms to enhance system security.
Adjusted details in the economic model, including node penalty mechanisms and exit mechanisms, to better align with practical scenarios.
Fixed the problem of CESS Node being unable to validly verify tagged results of user active files.
2. Storage Node [v0.7.9]
Enhanced storage node startup to automatically stake when the signing account matches the staking account.
Fixed the issue of the storage node append staking command failing to execute.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Completed updates to the go-sdk to align with the latest CESS chain API.
Successfully conducted file upload stress tests on DeOSS, ensuring stable performance during bulk uploads.
Blockchain Explorer (Substats):
Substats now support 18-digit CESS tokens.
Established new Substats backend database tables related to storage node information.
Official Website (cess.cloud)
Added functionality to the Blog page on the official website, allowing for blog sharing.
4 days after the v0.7.6 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
11 consensus node
913 storage node
155.79 PiB verified storage space
3.14 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. The ongoing miner reward event in the CESS testnet incentivizes participation from storage and consensus miners, allowing them to earn points while contributing to the network’s growth and development.
CESS is all set to launch its latest testnet, v0.7.6, scheduled on January 31st at UTC 8:00 AM. This update will introduce iterative enhancements and optimizations across three core modules: Storage Nodes, Consensus Nodes, and Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS). Storage Node Rewards up to 20,000 total points for v0.7.6**. Details**.

CESS Co-Founder & Chairman, Nicholas, participated in a DePIN space organized by HTX Ventures, delving deep into the world of decentralized storage and CDN with our partners.

CESS Senior Ambassador Andy played an active role in a Twitter space event hosted by SingularLabs. In this engaging discussion, they explored and shared insights on the exciting developments and trends in the upcoming summer of Omnichain NFTs, providing valuable perspectives to the audience.
