Security Enhancements for CESS Node included adding a new security level check and update feature for TEE Workers to prevent potential key leaks from workers not meeting the required security standards.
Cluster Setup for the new versions of DeOSS and DeShare was completed, preparing for the upcoming testnet version upgrade.
Codebase Issues were resolved, with all warning issues in the new version of the CESS Node codebase addressed, paving the way for the imminent launch of the updated testnet.
CESS participated in a massive Xspace hosted by Cluster Protocol.
CESS discussed What Are You Bullish About Right Now? with leading experts.
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.6 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Node [v0.7.6]
Addressed all warning issues in the new CESS Node codebase.
Added a security level check and update feature for TEE Workers to prevent potential key leaks.
2. Storage Node [v0.7.10]
Completed testing of file upload and download functionalities based on the territory module for the new storage node version.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and CD²N (content decentralized delivery network) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure network) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, DeOSS (decentralized object storage services) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, DeShare (online file sharing tool), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this month are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Completed the setup of the new official DeOSS node cluster, preparing for the upcoming testnet upgrade.
Added a data fencing feature to DeOSS to meet users’ specific requirements for data storage geographic locations.
Completed documentation for the working principles and incentive mechanisms of CD²N.
Online File Sharing Tool (DeShare):
Fixed issues preventing the transfer of files larger than 100MB.
Established a new DeShare cluster for storing storage node Docker images, addressing users’ inability to download the images.
CESS Website (cess.network):
Completed testing and bug fixes for the Merkle Event on the official website.
Optimized the UI interface of the homepage’s CESS network module introduction.
179 days after the v0.7.6 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
27 consensus nodes
9,069 storage nodes
22.70 PiB verified storage space
28.60 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. The ongoing miner reward event in the CESS testnet incentivizes participation from storage and consensus miners, allowing them to earn points while contributing to the network’s growth and development.
CESS participated in a massive Xspace hosted by Cluster Protocol. They explored the critical role of high-quality data in building robust AI systems. This exclusive Xspace session featured industry leaders and focused on the importance of data quality in DePIN.

CESS hosted a Space titled “What Are You Bullish About Right Now?” featuring insights from Joe, Co-founder of CESS; Joey, CMO of SFT Protocol; and Zack, Founder of JoJoWorld2022. The event provided an opportunity to explore the future of Web3, Crypto, AI, and DePIN with industry leaders and key contributors.
