CESS Node issues related to the release of storage node rewards due to insufficient treasury funds, as well as other problems arising from the Substrate framework upgrade, have been fixed. The new version of CESS Node is now running stably.
The storage node multi-container deployment script program has been upgraded, adding command completion functionality and restricting user space reduction operations. Additionally, issues with installing Docker and Docker-Compose have been resolved.
DeOSS file breakpoint resume functionality has been upgraded, optimizing the file upload caching mechanism. The js-sdk now supports these new features, enabling developers to reliably upload large files using the native SDK.
CESS hosted a Space event where Chairman & Co-Founder, Nick shared insights on CESS’s development and technology.
CESS hosted the inaugural Weekly Space on “The Future of Decentralized AI,” featuring top experts discussing the integration of DePIN for scalable solutions, with more exciting topics to come.
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.6 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Node [v0.7.6]
Fixed the issue where CESS Node storage node rewards could not be released due to insufficient treasury funds.
Fixed a series of issues and warnings that arose after upgrading the CESS Node Substrate framework.
2. Storage Node [v0.7.10]
Fixed the issue where the storage node multi-container deployment script program could not install Docker and Docker-Compose properly.
Added command completion functionality to the storage node multi-container deployment script program, making it easier for users to manage nodes quickly.
Upgraded the storage node multi-container deployment script program’s storage space management module to only allow users to reduce unverified idle space.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content decentralized delivery network (CD²N) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Upgraded DeOSS file breakpoint resume functionality to support concurrent and out-of-order file chunk uploads.
Improved DeOSS user file cache management mechanism to limit the number and cache usage of files a single user can upload simultaneously, reducing load.
Added support for file chunking and new DeOSS breakpoint resume functionalities in the js-sdk.
Blockchain Explorer (Substats):
Fixed the issue where the backend of the new blockchain browser could not parse the storage node mining reward release events.
CESS Website (cess.cloud)
Fixed the issue where DeShare would get stuck for long periods due to data transmission limits when transferring large files.
137 days after the v0.7.6 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
29 consensus nodes
10,501 storage nodes
22.70 PiB verified storage space
30.80 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. The ongoing miner reward event in the CESS testnet incentivizes participation from storage and consensus miners, allowing them to earn points while contributing to the network’s growth and development.
CESS hosted a Space event titled “An Introduction to CESS,” hosted by The Blonde Broker. Chairman & Co-Founder, Nick provided valuable insights into the development and technology of CESS, covering key aspects of its architecture and innovative mechanisms ensuring data integrity, security, and privacy.

CESS hosted the inaugural Weekly Space event, diving into “The Future of Decentralized AI: Integrating DePIN for Scalable Solutions.” Industry experts Nigel from Roam by MetaBlox, Joey Lee from SFT Protocol, Jay from Stability World AI, and CESS Co-Founder, Joseph Li shared insights on how DePIN is transforming scalability, efficiency, and security in decentralized AI.
