Completed the adjustment of system parameters, such as token decimal places, after upgrading the Substrate framework for CESS Node, ensuring a seamless version upgrade and restoring the CESS chain to its pre-upgrade state.
Upgraded the CESS go-sdk, updating some system properties, configuration parameters, and associated code examples. We also added a new feature for querying consensus node staking information.
Fixed several issues encountered during testing of the new version of the blockchain browser, effectively improving the display of information.
CESS participated as judges at the pitch competition during Tech Week NY, sharing insights on decentralized storage, CD²N, and CESS AI Gap.
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.6 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Node [v0.7.6]
Completed the writing of documentation for TEE Worker and Intel SGX.
Adjusted system parameters such as token decimal places after upgrading the Substrate framework for CESS Node.
2. Storage Node [v0.7.10]
Fixed an issue in the idle space proof module of storage nodes, which caused abnormal available space due to incorrect on-chain parameters.
*CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and *Content Decentralized Delivery Network (CD²N) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Improved the go-sdk developer guide by adding usage manuals for each module in the codebase and indexing them in the directory.
Added a new feature in the go-sdk for querying consensus node staking information, further enhancing the functionality of the codebase.
Updated some system properties, configuration parameters, and associated code examples in the go-sdk to be compatible with the latest version of the CESS chain.
Upgraded DeOSS to be compatible with the latest version of the go-sdk and completed testing of all key functionalities.
Blockchain Explorer (Substats):
Fixed issues with the new version of the blockchain browser displaying inaccurate information about node numbers and storage capacity.
Fixed issues with the new version of the blockchain browser not syncing the latest blocks from the CESS chain in a timely manner.
CESS Website (cess.cloud)
Completed testing of the backend management system for the DAO cloud mining activity and genesis node activity on the official website.
Enhanced the homepage directory index and some key reference links in the official documentation to help users more accurately locate the target content.
130 days after the v0.7.6 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
29 consensus nodes
10,501 storage nodes
22.60 PiB verified storage space
30.90 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. The ongoing miner reward event in the CESS testnet incentivizes participation from storage and consensus miners, allowing them to earn points while contributing to the network’s growth and development.
CESS participated as judges at the pitch competition held at the PwC building in NY during tech week. CESS was thrilled to witness innovative ideas and groundbreaking projects. And shared more insights on CESS, decentralized storage, CD²N (Content Decentralized Delivery Network), CESS AI Gap, and more.
