There's a new song token in the world, and its courtesy of 4,000 unique voters who decided to deploy "Sweet Memories" by Zeds Dead as the third song token on Coop Records.
We went live with the COOP voting portal on Monday - letting holders decided which of 5 curated songs would be the next to be deployed on cooprecs.fun using the Coop Protocol.
With 10% of the supply going back to collectors of Sweet Memories and a 1% bonus airdrop to all votes, we're stoked to have seen the community get more hands on in the launch of next song tokens.
This comes alongside our first collection on Soneium - a new L2 from Sony looking to growth presence of entertainment IP onchain. We hung out with the team in Tokyo and decided it'd be great to get a win for a Tokyo-based artist which is exactly what we did with our first drop from NUU$HI. With over 1k mints in the first 24 hours it feels great to have found a new pocket of collectors and bring them into the Coop Records ecosystem.

But that's not all - this week we onboarded some crazy records, including Maribou State's new album, an exclusive track from MPH, a Zeds Dead x Griz collab and the iconic track from San Holo "We Rise" which turned 10 years old this month.
Onchain music is a blip in the petri dish of crypto and an even smaller blip in the petri dish of music. Despite this - we've quietly grown a group of 60k+ COOP holders that are laying the foundation for a trojan horse moment.
We're determined that with the quality bar for music being hit - what it really comes down to is distribution.
The success of Coop Records is entirely reliant on our ability to bring music fans onchain for the first time. We've got a long way to go to get there but the mission has never felt more clear and it feels more tangible by the day.
