Now let’s take it back to about two years ago where “NFTS” had just started to be a trending topic and I had already looked into cryptocurrency and bought some of my own, now back to the story I knew that NFTS were crypto related so I decided that I already had done some “crypto” related things and realistically all I had heard about NFTS is that they were hella expensive and basically just pictures, at the time I didn’t do any research on them and didn’t know anything about them and I just left it. 

Fast forward to about 6 months ago when I met someone who was in the space of NFTS, metaverse and web3, he told me about the project that he just released and the community that he had curated and the numerous communities that he was a part of, he explained to me what an NFT was and I understood that it wasn’t just a JPEG, and let me tell you I got curious. I was fascinated about the decentralisation of the space and the certain communities that were trying to keep it that way, I researched about how the Punks first established themselves in the community and how they promised to be a genuine brand that held the standards of decentralisation and we all know how that one turned out when they tried to put DMCA strikes on the Phunks, now the Phunks is what really interested me because they fought back against Larva Labs and created their own marketplace (Notlarvalabs) where there is an established community that I think are the realest people in this space. 

So why am I in this space you ask

Let’s take it even further back to when I attended school 

I attended school in Australia, and we are basically forced to do the HSC in our final year of school, HSC stands for Higher School Certificate, and you must study certain subjects and to get a certain score at the end of your time at school.  

So basically, I felt trapped having to do these certain compulsory subjects like maths and English and I felt as I never tapped into my creative intellect and through my introduction to this space, I get to think creativity every day and I LOVE IT! I feel like in this space I get to think through passion and curiosity rather than being forced to like certain content. 

So “WHY ARE YOU IN THIS SPACE?” 

Well I’m obsessed with the process and have fallen in love with building my own community of like minded thinkers who at first have been stuck in the same old repetitive day to day actions that aren’t passions and rather forced but now can join a community where as a whole we can create something truly brilliant. I have thought long and hard about the brand that is CryptoCannons and its something that I want longevity out of and its fine if you don’t want to join me on this journey but maybe just maybe you should just be a little bit bothered and wait and see what the future entails.
