I’ve realized something powerful lately
living in the present moment is where true peace lies. I’ve stopped thinking too much about the past or the future because neither really exists right now.
Happiness, I’ve come to understand, is found right here, in the now. Think about it—whenever we hear good news, we don’t drift off into memories or start planning what’s next.
We just feel it, fully, in that moment. But ironically, we spend most of our time being absent from the present, lost in thoughts, and that really takes a toll on our mindfulness. I’m learning to come back to the now, again and again. It’s a journey, but it’s worth it.
