The last seven years of my life were spent in isolation and silence — not because I feared visibility, but because what I was building had to be protected long enough to be understood. I believe, real breakthroughs always occur when we retreat, and sometimes unexpectedly - as in my case, it happened when I was ready to give it all up and submit to shame and failure.
The overwhelming feeling of acceptance, strangely led to a rebirth of something entirely new.
All those years of pivots, failures, and long nights that no one will ever see, iterating, studying and researching deep into the issue that I was trying to solve, I wanted to ascertain myself of just one fact, that what I was building was truly authentic and with long-term relevance.
That this is not a "preaching water, drinking wine" kind of hypocrisy, but genuine, authentic and truthful.
When I embarked on this journey, my goal was simple - I was working on a new social networks platform, that creates a digital safe space for all. A platform without harassment, stalking, predatory acts of behaviour, where users are authenticated in a non-invasive, an entirely new way, and even behind anonymous profiles trust is assured. It took me around 2 years to come up with a simple and efficient way to solve that.
Overanalyzed the initial MVP and its architectural flow, so that there is no Achilles' heel. Wanted to design an incorruptible process to verify realness, and not only that.
I haven't been on any social media for over a decade, first - I am very old fashioned, valuing real conversations with real people, and second - I did not want anything to distract me from my focus.
Therefore, coming back into the social scenery and establishing a digital presence once again, I am surprised witnessing the escalating collapse of digital trust - meaning what I have been building all these years is even more needed than I initially thought.
The fake and fraudulent user profiles, the AI-generated faces, voices, histories, identities — the boundaries between real humans and synthetic entities seem dissolving faster than institutions, platforms, or governments can react. The internet seems to become a place where authenticity into a user is indeed questionable.
Before decentralization and WEB3, almost every solution depended on storing identity, collecting immeasurable sets of data and always surrendering privacy for safety. The decentralized way brought the 'User as Client' power back, improved the system, yet for the non-tech savvy, I think it is too complicated to understand and to use.
But what if there was another way?
Where trust didn’t require identity at all. Or the act of verification could exist without collecting or even storing anything — not even for a moment?
Where something right now unthought of, is not only possible but fairly simple and transparent. This, and of course the 7 years of obsessing, became the foundation for what I call the Self-Certifying Cryptographic Trust layer.
A trust method that uses events and not records.
A system where humans can prove - “I am real” (Proof-of-Humanity) and “I am this person” (Proof-of- Identity).
Without biometrics, databases, accounts, or any surveillance. Without any digital footprints or the need for any data-related long-term storage.
This is not traditional identity. It is zero-data verification — a trust architecture built for a post-AI world.
It removes the need to trust platforms, governments, corporations, or intermediaries. Instead, it allows truth to exist cryptographically and momentarily — long enough to prove authenticity, but not long enough to become a vulnerability.
A new method - simple, transparent and a radical profound change: An unquestionable "Proof that is real, even if nothing is stored".
A new form of ZKPs. Where the cryptographic challenge is impossible to fake and the ZKPs just formalize integrity, because the verification event itself is already the proof.
This changes everything.
Digital spaces and interactions can become HUMANE again. Platforms can verify without knowing. Users can authenticate without being exposed.
Today, this architecture is becoming real under UU (Uniting Users, in Stealth Mode) — the first protocol designed to restore digital trust without sacrificing privacy.
Our sole aim, to Unite Users through Trust and Authentic Interactions, and to bring that all back into the digital world.
If you are building at the intersection of cryptography, decentralized identity, human authenticity, AI Safety or trust-minimized systems, feel free to reach out. I will be happy to connect or have a conversation.
