Dawn joined Tools for Humanity, to build next generation finance into World
We’re excited to share that earlier this year Dawn joined Tools for Humanity, having been acquired by the company, to build next generation finance into World App. We started Dawn in 2023 with the belief that a new internet-native economy was emerging on top of blockchains. The world will embrace blockchains through mobile devices first; but we felt too many of the interfaces were built for a seasoned audience, with broken wallet connections and failing transactions too often the norm. We bui...
Building Web3 into the Web
Together with members of Geometry - Tom Walpo and Ben Levy - we’ve been thinking about how we upgrade the Internet and build Web3 directly into the Web, such that it is available by default in every webpage. Every web app could become a financial app, enabling:Micropayments - content creators can directly monetise, paywalls can offer one time payment optionsSeamless web purchases - assets can be bought and swapped within web articlesDigital content integrity - the authenticity of all digital ...
In-app DAO voting
In-app native voting has come to Dawn! You can now vote for on-chain proposals and single choice Snapshot proposals direct from the app - no getting bounced out! It now takes just seconds to choose a proposal and place your vote direct from your phone! 💨 🚀Voting on-chain in an Aave DAO proposalOff-chain voting through Snapshot for a Uniswap temperature checkWe’re extremely excited at having in-app voting in Dawn. Dawn’s next release is out!
We’re excited to announce support for Scrolls recently launched Mainnet. Scroll is a zkEVM based Layer 2 that looks and feels just like Ethereum. It enables low cost, scaleable transactions.
Also in this release:
Watch-only mode - easily follow other Ethereum addresses and addresses that you haven’t yet imported
Revoke approvals - see all the approvals that you’ve granted out and revoke anything that looks potentially dangerous
Scroll is a hugely exciting L2 for Ethereum, a zkEVM that offers low transaction costs with high throughput. The Mainnet launched this week and Dawn has now added support.
You can use any dapp deployed on Scroll through Dawns Safari extension, simply sign and send transactions as if it was any other network. Checkout what it’s like to bridge below!

Want to see what Dawn would look like if you were to import the address? What NFT mints the address has, claims and offers that are available? Now you can!
Simply past in the address you want to follow in the “Import Wallet” view and see what that address sees on-chain.

We all give out approvals to smart contracts here and there, it’s hard to track what we have approved and revoke any suspect looking approvals.
You can now do this direct in Dawn, seeing the central place where all your approvals are and revoke anything that looks suspect.
