Hello fwens,
The last day of June marked a special event for collectors of Joan Cornellà’s first NFT collection, MOAR, with Team FWENCLUB airdropping red and green serums for each MOAR token beginning at 11:00am EST. We’ll get into that a bit later in this post, and I’ll also share a few ideas about what both serums may grant holders based off available information which the team has released publicly.
Again, this will be speculation on my end for the most part, but I think the mystery of what lies ahead helps with the continued excitement of the project and its evolution.

Approximately 48% of MOAR token holders opted to receive the green serum airdrop, with the rest receiving red serums.
Which brings us back to the question of how holders could qualify for the special green serum.
A tweet published on June 06 helped with clarification.

In order for holders to qualify for the green serum, they either had to acquire their MOAR token no later than 24 hours after mint (cutoff: April 8, 2022), or defeat all the zombies attacking Granny in Seibwoz, the mobile side-scrolling game developed by Team FWENCLUB.
Red serums were airdropped to all holders who did not own their MOAR since mint day, or those who did not save Granny using that particular token.
Since completing the airdrops, Team FWENCLUB has not provided details on the effects of both red and green serums. As far as the general public knows, holding on to each serum for a longer period of time will result in the effects being more powerful. One other cryptic clue could be found in the June 06 tweet, with the caption ending in “Take the serum and I’ll show you how far the rabbit-hole goes.”

If we were to follow a similar model like that of Bored Ape Yacht Club’s mutant serum transformations into Mutant Ape Yacht Club tokens, given the clue of holding on to serums resulting in effects being “greater” than otherwise—plus the token descriptions of “raarrR raarrhhhh” continuing the theme found in the Seibwoz storyline—our MOAR characters may become certain levels of zombified-MOAR’s based off original traits dependent on strength of serum.
With two serums available, perhaps red serums (with shorter hold times) will leave our MOARs with early-onset zombie features, longer-held red serums resulting in MOAR tokens taking on even greater amounts of transformation, similar maybe to MOAR #31.
Green serums, like the M2 serums, might create even greater transformative properties. We have seen another iteration of zombies by Joan Cornellà/Team FWENCLUB with the green-colored, more aggressive zombies from later stages of the game.

On the topic of zombie traits for MOAR’s, token #31 still rests in the FWENCLUB vault. A bit of a long shot, but one idea which crossed my mind when it came to this token was the potential for a raffle or giveaway exclusive to serum holders. This is where I can potentially see long-term holding playing a role; not in the sense that the serum (red or green) become more potent, but if the serums were to be considered tickets for a giveaway, folks who haven’t decided to sell their airdrops could potentially increase chances at winning should each serum count towards an entry. Red, in this instance, would count for one entry, green for two. What could prizes be? Well, I suppose that could include MOAR #31 itself, and maybe even the Zombie King, who looks an awful like MOAR #32.

There’s a bit of overlap with the potential rare MOAR token giveaways mentioned above, and the forthcoming metaverse to be developed by Team FWENCLUB. When the collection initially launched, they auctioned off MOAR #1 on OpenSea, and the winning bidder would not only receive the token, but a hand-painted original, along with a 3D avatar set for phase 2.
A hunch I had with the serums being treated as entry tickets for a raffle was that if they weren’t being exclusively used to give away rare MOAR’s, they’d be used by holders to enter a raffle to win a 3D avatar.

At the time I began writing this, which was on Friday, 07-04-2022, I initially used the previous roadmap above, but as of Thursday, 07-07-2022, the team has updated the roadmap to the following.

A difference can be seen with the removal of July’s proposed metaverse-ready “room” airdrop, the “MOAR” virtual exhibition being bumped a month further down to December, and “Room” launch being added for 2023.
Even with the updated roadmap, I don’t think that takes anything away from the serums being used as an entry ticket for the 3D avatar raffle. The holder benefits still mention having exclusive access to work created by Joan Cornellà (digital and physical), and vinyl figures of MOAR #31 have already been released to SUPER FWENs and the general public.

While there’s been much effort in the PFP space for the Cornellà, given the current NFT market with large number-collections, maybe this is an opportunity for both he and Team FWENCLUB to create limited edition work (or maybe even unique original NFTs) similar to Throw Stone from the People in the Place They Love collection.
With all this being said, I don’t think we’ll really know what the serum effects will be until we hear from the team themselves. We’ll have a bit of time to think things through all throughout the summer and into the fall.
That’s all for now fwens. Thanks for reading!
