According to the information released on social media by Optimism, the second-layer solution of Ethereum, in order to solve the problem of continuous abuse of public endpoints, out of prudent considerations and to protect normal HTTP traffic, Optimism will disable WebSocket service support on public endpoints. Using an infrastructure provider such as Alchemy, Optimism recommends that projects run their own nodes or choose to use an infrastructure solution from a trusted partner.
