
Hello web 3 community,
I want to take this first post to present the Community Supported Food Forest project. It may seem strange to bring this topic to web 3, but this is the global arena for community innovation right now. For the sake of survival, food forests are essential and urgent. Seems like mankind is heading to an Eastern Island outcome after destroying not only the forests but killing the culture of long-term community agriculture. Nowadays the new generations don’t inherit food trees from their grandparents. Food trees produce without needing yearly input, so they are energy efficient and it gives peace of mind to know that you can expect harvests every year. So this is the bottleneck we want to work on.
Not only to create sparse intergenerational flows but to do it in a systematic way, creating an economy of incentives to members. We will start it of by inviting forest gardeners to document their monthly and seasonal activities for us to follow, creating ties between the writers, the readers and the lands. Even from a distance and through the phone, if we communicate properly and through all the seasons we can create strong relationships, belonging and opportunities.
The 20th century dualism of farmers and consumers is toxic for society. We must all be part of the same game and collaborate in any ways we can, not necessarily going to the field, but there are many ways to exchange multiple capitals. We must all become co producers of our natural legacy to the next generations.
