First of all: to explore and articulate aspects of the web3/crypto ecosystem.
At this point in time, crypto and the blockchain are seen as previously overhyped and unlikely to produce anything useful to regular people. As demonstrated by the existence of companies like Paragraph.xyz, there are entrepreneurs out there who believe otherwise. Many of these companies describe themselves as using 'decentralized protocols' and as web3 businesses (to distinguish themselves from Google/Facebook-era web2 systems).
I plan to dive into what this all means to me, as a business/consumer user. My understanding is that these posts are stored on a blockchain and totally belong to me. I am using Paragraph's editor and CMS, but I think that in principle, I could use a different client. Or maybe I can build my own editing software or use the command line to access my posts. I plan to spend some time reading the developer documentation to understand how the system works technically and alternate ways to access/use the posts.
We'll also evaluate Paragraph.xyz the same as we would any other blogging, newsletter-creating, website management system. I'll look at its ease-of-use, search/discovery functionality, and the community of bloggers content developers using the platform.
There are a few other things I'd like to explore and learn in this space. I'll talk about those that another day.
