And we get angsty when the wifi is a few milliseconds slow.
At 47 years old, he is still an English heart-throb for millions of his die-hard fans.
David “Most handsome footballer in England” Beckham was spotted standing in line for 12 hours as he waited for his turn to pay respects to the Queen Elizabeth, who passed recently.
13 freaking hours.
I can’t imagine how it must have felt.
I waited for a show in Broadway for 20 mins and I am irritated to my ears.
Hundreds of thousands of people have joined the line to pay their final respects to the Queen who laid at Westminster Hall.
The line and wait only got longer after that.
It stretched for 8km and there was even a queue for the queue that formed.
I have always like David for his soft demeanour and humble personality.
But this just takes the cake.

He started waiting at 2am in the morning!
“I thought by coming at 2 a.m. it was going to be a little bit quieter — I was wrong.”
Even after 13 hours of waiting, standing literally side by side common folks under the elements, he was still pensive and cheery when interviewed.
He was alone.
He waited alone, no family, no rowdy fans, no entourage, no airs and no qualms.
My respect for the man just doubled instantly.
Pretty sure there were a few armed and stealth bodyguards nearby.
I mean, the dude is worth $450M.
There must be some security in case someone assaults him or a fan gets too close.
‘We all want to be here together, we all want to experience something where we celebrate the amazing life of our queen, and I think something like this today is meant to be shared together.’
‘So the fact that we’re here together, we’re eating pringles, we’re eating sherbet lemons, we’re eating sandwiches, we’re having coffee, doughnuts.’
He waited so long, just to spend a few sombre, precious seconds bowing to the Queen before moving along.
He didn’t join the fast-track queue for superstars and important people.
He didn’t complain or lament.
I mean, what’s left to say?

Why did he do it?
He said that his entire families are royalists and if his grandparents were alive, they would want to do this too.
He honoring his roots, upbringing and grandparents’ wishes.
Clap for the guy will ya?
Strangely, David isn’t a “Sir” or knighted by the Queen.
He has done more for football, Queen and country than most of his fellow countryman, but due to irregularities with his taxes, he has been barred from nomination for a decade.
I am certain he will get his knighthood soon.
Just a pity it wouldn’t be from the Queen herself.
My favourite quote from David.
“Knees are ok, its the back”.
Same David.
We absolutely feel the same way too.
=)

Is it fair for celebrities and important people to skip the queue entirely?
