We all know Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.
But did you know he is now one of the most sought after marketers in the industry?
His marketing agency did a string of hit advertisements.
You probably seen the Match.com one with Satan and a lady named “2020”.
How apt.
Uniting the audience’s collective hatred towards the year 2020, which gave us covid, deaths, destruction, pain and misery.
Then there are the ones with Mint Mobile and Aviation Gin.
Not to mention the ads that he starred in as Deadpool, the anti-hero character known for its witty comebacks and gory antics.

Why does his advertisements become such hits?
Sincere and honest.
He is being himself, authentic and real.
His marketing is simple, crude and to the point.
We just get it!
He embodies every stereotype given to him.
Corny, awkward, ridiculously handsome and sometimes socially inept.
He even admitted what fans has been talking about for years.
That he didn’t do a good job with the Green Lantern movie.
It funny but true.

He listens to his fans and the pulse of the market, sometimes playing brilliantly to the tunes.
He iterates and plays to his own music and humor.
Yea sometimes his humour is a little dry and repetitive.
Somehow, it feels like you heard him make the same joke or silly antic somewhere else before.
But, all in all, Ryan does try so very hard and it kind of works.
Its not creative in the sense where it will blow your mind like Mozart creating a masterpiece
But it is still creative in the sense where it appeals to the audience and makes us laugh.
He was behind the ad “Maximum Jackman” in which Hugh Jackman did a skit in the nude for R.M. Williams leather shoes.
He marketed his movie “Free Guy” brilliantly with a series of hilarious ads.

He is a co-owner of Wrexham football club.
Where the hell is that anyways?
Don’t ask me why.
He sold Aviation Gin to Diageo for $600M in 2020.
He owns around 25% of Mint Mobile, valued at $600 to $800M.
Combined, the 2 Deadpool movies made north of $687M and a third one is in the works.
What a smart, diligent and enterprising superstar who knew how to combine and compound his fame, influence and skills to amplify his output and revenue.
I can only think of one other celebrity in his game that did it better.
Dwayne Johnson, the Rock, who is crushing it too.
