Saw the ATM machine artwork that was at Art Basel in Miami last year?
ATM machines are for you to withdraw some cash and check your balances.
Imagine it displays your entire balance for the world to see!
The “ATM Leaderboard” takes a user’s bank account balance and displays it on a big screen for all to see, ranking them against the other ATM users in a “high score” list to show off their wealth.
Forget multi-million dollar NFTs, this is the clearest indicator to flex your bank account balance.
It even snaps a pic of you and lets you strike your favorite pose.
Now, if only all ATMs does this, wouldn’t the world be more fun?
Just kidding…
Of course it went viral.
“Musical artist and DJ Diplo tweeted a “high score” of over $3 million in his bank account, declaring he had “just won Art Basel.””
Then someone else strolls in and topped that with $9.5M.
Yep.
$9,500,000 in his bank balance.
Who does that?
Why isn’t it in some investment fund or deployed to buy properties or trust fund?
But it was fun and entertaining, nonetheless.
I learnt 2 things from this:
The first is that Cash is King.
No matter what you might think of cash or how much you hate fiat, it is inevitable that cash still rules the world.
The world runs on cash and fiat that we all work hard to earn.
Till the day BTC or ETH or some other magical cryptocurrency takes over the world, we are stuck with fiat.
Cash in the bank is safer than you think.
Don’t get caught up in the hype and mania of investing it or “putting it to work”.
Unless you know what to do and exactly how to do it, don’t risk it.
Manage your risk and know that cash in the bank is far better than no cash at all.
I might sound like a anti-tech, anti-crypto farmer who keeps cash under the bed, but after seeing what happened to the crypto world in 2022, wouldn’t you agree?
The world burnt badly in 2022, so stay frosty with your money and make smart, safe investments only.

The second is that creativity is the new strategy you can deploy to anything you do.
See going to Art Basel, where some of the best artworks and most creative and artistic personalities go to, and trolling the rich, is a new form of meta-creativity.
It stands out.
It gets attention.
It is creativity, but so meta.
It mocks the rich and yet the rich are the ones actually using and happily showing their wealth via their ATM balance.
That’s just it right?
People enjoy it.
Find creative ways to get your brand heard and get attention.
There is always a way to get heard and stand out from the norm.
MSCHF has always been known for their penchant in grabbing attention with their antics and wild creativity.
Someone actually bought the entire machine for $75k after!
Talk about making waves, getting attention and then making a tidy profit!
