I wrote about Nouns NFT a while back and it was to highlight how cc0 projects can really be a big business.
Nouns are particularly fascinating.
There is no pre-made 10k NFTs to buy.
Each day, they will create and mint 1 totally new and unique Noun NFT.
People will bid and buy it.
The last few Nouns sold for around 80–90 Eth.
That’s around $130k to $150k depending on Eth price of course.
That is not cheap at all.
So remember I said that cc0 projects meant anyone can use Nouns for anything including making money from it?
Now, the NFfamous Nouns glasses have become reality.

You can literally own a physical pair of glasses that adorns each and every one of the Nouns.
Black, red, yellow and blue glasses.
Burn your NFT to redeem a physical pair of luxury Nouns glasses, which will be shipped to you.
With all the talk of metaverse and virtual reality, there is something special about owning a physical piece of internet culture.
Is this the future of nano-entrepreneurship?
Is this the future of how communities can be managed and built?
Spinning off smaller sub-communities from more famous brands, democratising ownership and building brand reputation all the same.
See those who are priced out of the action for a $150k Nouns can still pay 0.44 Eth (about $700) for a luxury pair of glasses, which they can resell or hodl.
What I do want to point out is the speed of execution.
Because the entire Nouns community is fluid, highly decentralised and dispersed, things can happen simultaneously.
While the Nouns DAO is hot in action with the main auction daily, another group of enthusiasts can literally work on the glasses and move quickly.
They kind of teased the vision for the project in March.
Fast forward a few quick months, viola!
Nouns Vision NFT holders have already received their physical glasses!
Talk about speed of execution.
The clarity of getting stuff done effectively.
Ah what a joy it must be to ship.
Shipping products to delighted customers and watching their happy posts spreading on social media, further boosting your brand and reputation.
Welcome to the new world of web3, NFTs and community-building.
