Seriously, what goes on in the incredible mind of Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF)?
SBF, once the richest the crypto mogul in the world, is on trial and he’s asking the judge for more Adderall to focus. Yes, you read that right. The man who once had the world at his fingertips now needs a stimulant to keep up with his own court proceedings.
Why would anyone ask a judge who is presiding over your case, for more drugs?
More importantly, why would the lawyers agree to asking that in court and putting it in writing?
Hey, maybe he was just trying his luck and completely unaware of the gravity of his situation.

So, why is SBF in the hot seat? Well, let’s just say, “a lot of people got hurt,” according to his own admission. He’s facing fraud allegations tied to his crypto exchange, FTX.
Billions evaporated because he allegedly uses customers deposit to gamble, and lost big time. And let’s not forget the lavish lifestyle he led while his empire was under scrutiny.
Speaking of lavish, the man spent over $1.1 billion on what can only be described as extravagant indulgences. $200 million on a stadium, $50 million to Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, and let’s not overlook the $30 million penthouse in the Bahamas. It’s like he was playing Monopoly with real money!
But here’s where it gets juicy. He threw Caroline Ellison under the bus without a second thought.

“However, when asked by his defense lawyer in the criminal case whether Ellison heeded his advice that Alameda should “get shorter” to mitigate its risks and shrink its multi-billion-dollar hole, Bankman-Fried replied tersely, “no.”” No shame, no remorse. Just cold, calculated moves to save his own skin.
Then there was the legendary Adderall request.
“However, as we approach the defense case and the critical decision of whether Mr. Bankman-Fried will testify, the defense has a growing concern that because of Mr. Bankman-Fried’s lack of access to Adderall he has not been able to concentrate…”

Why would he ask for it? Is the pressure getting to him? Or is it a calculated move to gain sympathy and appear more human to the jury? Either way, it’s a desperate plea that really shows how dumb and delusional SBF was.
So, will he be found guilty? Given the evidence and his own admissions, it’s hard to see a path to innocence.
Most critics are saying it just a matter of how many years he will be serving in jail.
Whether SBF was guilty or innocent, many people got hurt.

We need to learn how to prevent and stymie such things from happening again.
Tulips, precious metals, oil, rare commodities and now crypto.
