We all make jokes and have a good laugh about things once in a while.
We all make fun of each other and say weird stuff all the time, especially to our best friends.
We are humans, and laughing is a great way inject some joy into our lives.
It is hard to imagine but there are times pranks and jokes can be misconstrued and taken out of context.
Especially when we are looking at it from the outside in.
But a joke in the wrong context, or taken out of context, or simply getting caught, might have unintended consequences.
Remember when Trump was caught saying some really funky stuff about women?
So when a cameraman caught Tiger Woods handing a tampon to fellow competitor, things blew up.

“Fifteen-time Major champion Tiger Woods apologized after handing fellow golfer Justin Thomas a tampon during the first round of the Genesis Invitational.”
In a way, just that picture alone is already funny as hell.
Its a professional, competitive golf setting, hundreds of spectators, fans, cameras and phones are hawking the players’ every move.
Then you have Mr Tiger Woods, the legend of golf, the one everyone came to see and hopefully get an autograph from, nonchalantly slipping Justin something.
Was it a gift?
Was it gum?
Was it a note?
Lucky for us, we live in 2023, where even a phone in your pocket can zoom in 100x and see the exact words on the “thing” he passed to his friend.
Come on.
A tampon?
I mean, it is quite funny no?
I think Tiger was suggesting that Justin was “playing like a girl”.

Ok feminists are going to get riled up for sure, but a joke like that between two friends, was it that terrible?
People joke around all the time.
Competitive golf players are no exception.
“If tiger spent three months a year bleeding and coping with period pain, they’d make a whole-ass documentary about how champions overcome insurmountable obstacles,” Alex McDaniel, managing editor of USA Today’s For The Win, tweeted.
Honestly, the media wants to make a big deal out of it.
They need controversy and juicy headlines to get their readership excited.
Tiger Woods is a golf legend and media darling that is also controversial and frontpage worthy.
Tiger was asked about it during the press conference and he apologized swiftly.

“If I offended anyone in any shape or form, I’m sorry, he said. “It was friends having fun. We play pranks on one another all the time.”
He sounded meh when he said that, like he was trying to brush it off and move on.
But the truth is, did he really do anything wrong?
Sure, he got caught on high-definition camera.
But I don’t think he was trying to send a wrong message to the kids of our generation, start a war against the feminists or insulting anyone.
It was a joke gone wrong, that got caught.
Don’t make a mountain out of a molehill.
What Tiger should have done was to be more careful and cognizant that he is in a competition and ALL eyes are on him 24/7.
But seriously, where and when did he get a hold of a tampon to pull that joke?

Was Tiger Woods wrong to have made that tampon joke?
