Early and Often: The Daily 56/ Taxes
SubscribeOne thing I learned today: Why is filing taxes so complicated? It’s hard not to think about how blockchain could not solve this aged problem. Using a DLT system you could easily track every single transaction and tax in real time. For example, on February 1 when you file your taxes, every single transaction and investment that you made would be on the public ledger. Therefore, all you would have to do is press “File” and the software would extract all your pay slips to create your w-...
Early and Often: The Daily 61/ PartyRoom
One thing I learned today: PartyRoom is a way for users in web3 to create a monetized group chat. It’s built on base and it launched about 5 hours ago. It’s actually pretty cool because the more members that join the more expensive it is for the next mint. Also, it operates like a DAO where proposals can be made on NFTs or trades for the group wallet. Will be interesting to see how it goes. This is not financial advice. This is just a review of an app on the Base blockchain. Any readers shoul...

Today I learned Mirror.xyz integrated creator rewards for writers who are publishing on their platform. I only started writing on Mirror this fall and one of the complaints I had was the fact that there was no “Rewards” system for interaction on the platform.
Coming from a fresh freelance writer this gives me confidence that the utilization of decentralization is evolving on the platform. In normal writing blogs, the platform itself would 1. Charge the Creator to market their product 2. Would charge fees or take a percentage of any profits/ads that were generated by the creator 3. Charge for subscription to provide any VIP or exclusive access between the creator and the user.
In the Decentralized model, I now can potentially earn rewards in ETH when users mint my free articles and blogs. When users mint one of my writing NFTs the gas fees are now split between the platform, and the creator.
Just last week, if I minted an entry from Eth.daily then I would pay a small gas feeto just deploy the contract on-chain.
Outside of the obvious of earning rewards in ETH, I’m actually more excited in being able to use this feature to grow this blog more organically using web3 tools. It enables the ability to create tighter communities between creators and readers. It enables creators to earn in real time, and potentially take something that is a hobby and make it a career. Eliminates a platform monopolizing the revenue generated by the users on their platform.
Some things I can think about doing now:
ENS name strictly for Early and Often to officially embed the brand on-chain and control funds going in and out of that wallet as strictly business related
Being able to use an analytics platform to airdrop rewards to those who have minted my articles
Early and Often dApp that is connected to the interaction of my blog
Gratitude:
I’m grateful to have a passion for this industry and other hobbies such as health and wellness. So many people suffer in life because they don’t know what they’re passionate about. This results in them not thinking that they’re high achievers or that they can succeed like their peers. This is why I enjoy running, because any run is an achievement.
Grateful for Mirror’s new upgrade lol
Affirmations:
I will run the 2024 NYC Marathon under 4:00:00
I will learn to grow my blog by 10% every month using web3 tools
I will study weekly and complete the GRE exam in 2024
Miracle Morning:
Read: Yes (Finished Ethereum for business by Paul Brody)
Workout: Yes
Meditate: No
Affirmations: Yes
Practice Gratitude: Yes
Make my bed: Yes
GNs in the chat and remember to Mint
