With GALA at the helm, I introduce to you one of their latest titles: Superior. A co-op, roguelite, third-person shooter where all the superheroes have turned into evil abominations. Although it's free to play, you can earn by purchasing a character NFT from the GALA Store. Users of NFT can play in Early Access on PC.
A player can select from three distinct characters to play as, and he begins the game at a bar where he equips a starting power from his loadout before entering the battle area. You and two allies must thwart and kill heroes who have turned evil while using the guns that are distributed across the region. Every game has a different objective, and as you progress, you'll be able to steal and unlock powers. It will be added to a skill tree in countless combinations, helping gamers step up their game and successfully take down supervillains.
Superior’s gameplay is enjoyable enough for someone to sit and play for an hour while attempting to predict the sort of plot that unfolds as the player progresses and advances. Players can try out different playstyles to see which one best suit their needs and preferences. Although I believe there should be more focus towards a strategic element, your team's composition currently has very little impact on the actual outcome of the mission. NPC Enemies are strong and skilled shooters. It’s unbelievable, so a player’s skill will be put to test.
Because of its streamlined graphics, I believe some low-end PCs can render it. Due to its cartoonish style and amazing design, it gives the impression that you are in a comic book world. However, some scenes lacked clarity and were deformed. Hopefully these can be improved as they continue development.
From the UI to the controls, you will quickly and easily be able to wander around the main menu and settings. Names of the buttons and its functions are there for smooth identification. Additionally, the settings can be changed easily if needed which is a plus.
The one thing I don’t find appealing is the outrageous cost of the NFTs. Varying from $200 to $5000. Given that the current value of $GALA is only $0.041, I'm curious as to why this is so expensive. In spite of that, I would be extremely interested in playing this game if I had the opportunity or there was a F2P option.
