Blockchain Platform: Flow Blockchain
Developers: Joyride Games
Genre: Solitaire Card Game
Available In: Mobile
Status: Live
The mobile game Solitaire Blitz is Joyride's debut game, and it has already attracted more than 250,000 users in just the first month. The game is powered by the Flow blockchain, and it is already accessible on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. According to DappRadar, Solitaire Blitz is one of the most popular Dapp for gaming on the Flow blockchain, with over 142,698 monthly users. The majority of people who play Solitaire Blitz are from India and the Philippines. The game is currently live but the players can expect to see the full launch of game staking on the game and the launch of more games by Q3 2022.
Solitaire Blitz, in contrast to a great number of other web3 games, does not boast of having complicated gaming mechanics, a dramatic plot, or a mystifying backstory. In its place, Solitaire Blitz is a card game that incorporates aspects of competitiveness and social networking into the traditional game of Solitaire.
Almost all solitaire games use a standard deck of 52 cards. Your goal in this game is to transfer cards from their starting position to the card foundation piles. There are three ways to rearrange cards. First, by placing a card of a different color on top of a card with a higher number. Second, by placing cards on the foundation piles. Beginning with the ace of each suit, foundation piles can be built up to the king of each suit in order. Reveal a card from the deck when you reach level three. Cards can be shown one at a time or every third card for a more challenging game. Continue shuffling cards in these three ways until all cards have been moved to the foundation piles (win) or no more movements are possible (lose).
Players of Solitaire Blitz have the opportunity to earn RLY tokens by competing in matchmaking games as well as tournaments. A Solitaire Blitz ERC-20 utility token can be represented by $RLY. Your Joyride wallet, which can be connected to MetaMask and used to make deposits and withdrawals to and from your Ethereum address, is where your in-game earnings of $RLY tokens are held after earning them in the game.
The gameplay in Solitaire Blitz is quite fluid, and it’s not like other blockchain games that have complicated web3 features. Instead, it is a straightforward card game that features one-on-one player vs player competitions and token prizes. I think Solitaire Blitz is not that remarkable given that I am not a fan of the genre. But in my opinion, it still brings to life a new twist to that classic solitaire gameplay with its special events and tournaments.
The game of Solitaire Blitz is not capable of instilling any sense of dread in newbie players given that its overall look is familiar. The standard card artwork is also basic and the animations are not that remarkable. The simplistic visuals of Solitaire Blitz are not necessarily a negative aspect of the game, because it ensures that even less powerful devices will have no problem keeping up with the action. Who, exactly, plays digital Solitaire in order to gawk at the visuals, anyway?
Overall, Solitaire Blitz may be flat at times and a little bland once you’ve played it a couple of times. Nevertheless, it has simple gameplay that even beginners can easily understand, the game can also run even on a low-end android phone and it has its own exciting twists that are tailored in the game. It may not impress solitaire purists but it can still be fun at times.
