P2E games nowadays have become more simple in design or graphics, which might be because of the highly profitable market of mobile games. This is true for most P2E games, but the one I’m about to introduce is different. I give you, Spider Tanks! A game that has tanks…with legs?!
Spider Tanks is a P2E MOBA brawler developed by GAMEDIA and published by Gala Games. The game was released just in April this year, and it’s looking to become a big name in the P2E space.
The game offers different maps, game modes, and plenty of tanks you can build. Combining a weapon and body will create a single tank. This allows for different combinations to experiment with, hopefully finding one that will suit your playstyle.
Free-to-play: The game requires no initial investment to start playing, but to start earning, you will have to buy a tank or assemble one from parts.
High Quality Graphics: Its graphics can be comparable to standard games nowadays and is miles ahead of other P2E games in terms of quality.
The gameplay is quite similar to MOBA games like Thetan Arena and Brawl Stars. You can start with the default tanks, but you can also mix and match your weapons and body for a whole new type of tank.
Spider Tanks has three game modes: Team Deathmatch, Capture the Chicken, and Capture the Flag. These three game modes are played with a 3v3 format and have various goals in different maps and modes.
Team Deathmatch: It’s an all-out brawl style battle. The team with the most kills at the end of the time period wins.
Capture the Chicken: Your team’s goal is to catch chickens that are scattered throughout the map; whoever gets the most chickens caught wins and earns the title of Chicken master.
Capture the Flag: A single flag is placed on the map. The goal of the game is to capture the flag and hold onto it for as long as possible. The team who holds the flag the longest wins.
Developers have implemented a daily system for people looking to earn. They distribute your battle rewards through a points system. These points are accumulated from wins and then calculated to distribute to players at the end of the day.
The rewards may also vary based on factors like tank ownership (type, rarity, and upgrades), map ownership (rarity and type of the map played), and the tier of the opponents you’ve played against.
Rewards are then given as SILK, the game’s main currency, and the resource you will be using to upgrade your tanks. Upgrading your tanks will then increase their value and you’ll be able to turn a profit if you sell or rent it to another player.
I think the game has a great concept. It’s a MOBA with a brawl approach, with different maps, different modes, and even more different types of tanks. The graphics are really good, and its gameplay is smooth as well. It might be hard to get into since, with most MOBA games, skill is at the heart of it.
One suggestion I’d have is to allow more players in a team or make a mode where it could be a 5v5 brawl or 2v2s etc. This could open up the game more and has the potential to add more fun game modes. Overall, I think the game is great! It has solid gameplay, smooth graphics, and an intuitive way to start earning. I would definitely recommend giving it a try for those MOBA players out there, and since it’s free-to-play, you might as well do so.
