During the live session hosted by Alicia from the Startale team, three winning teams from the Soneium For All program took the spotlight: Zombie Idle Defense, Animix Snap, and LootCoin.
What do they have in common? A simple yet powerful idea: integrating $ASTR as a real payment currency, reward system, and utility inside real games with real users. Here’s what they showcased, what’s working, and what’s coming next.
Watch the full showcase:
https://www.youtube.com/live/uU7xcv2rzB8
It’s real adoption: not slides, but live shops, gameplay, metrics, and real development roadmaps.
$ASTR becomes a cross-game payment token, boosting community engagement and retention (WebShop discounts, seasonal rewards, themed bundles, and more).
Studio: TDC Studio Genre: tower-defense idle (heroes, weapons C→S, pets, progressive tutorial)
Why “zombie”? The team chose a universal theme—easy to market, relatable worldwide (à la “The Walking Dead”), and more efficient for user acquisition.
Gameplay at a glance
4 heroes in formation, each with unique abilities
Weapons and materials (scrap) for upgrades
Guided progression: milestone-based tutorial for smooth onboarding
$ASTR Integration
Payments in $ASTR directly in-game (via wallet) for weapons, heroes, materials
Token rewards planned for special events and top players
“Balancing progression speed and difficulty for player retention was the hardest part. But the milestone tutorial pays off — onboarding feels smooth.”
Why it matters $ASTR tied to essential items (weapons/upgrades) means players instantly see real utility and value.
Studio: TREE Studio Genre: fast trading-card battler (short matches, 3 zones, strategic synergy)
Highlights
20-card decks, merge mechanics with AI-generated creatures (unique traits)
Seasonal leaderboard + events (referral campaign in Season 1)
Platforms: Web, Telegram Mini-App, LINE Mini-App (Telegram currently leads in user conversion)
Early metrics
~25% conversion rate during the first weeks
~5k DAU without paid UA
$ASTR Integration
WebShop offers lower prices than in-app purchases
Roadmap: bridge and $ASTR payment option directly integrated into the WebShop
Pro tip: top leaderboard players almost always buy from the WebShop
“The WebShop is the smart entry point: cheaper than in-app. Top players know it.”
Why it matters Having $ASTR as the most convenient payment option creates a transparent, repeatable incentive across games.
Concept: a fully on-chain degen idle RPG where users contribute hash-rate (through gear) and mine 21M $LOOT — a model inspired by Bitcoin.
Current status
Pre-launch / fair-launch: simple onboarding, daily strike bonuses, and “snackable” UX (10–15 min/day)
Strong on-chain metrics: over 1M transactions on Soneium in 30 days, with consistent wallet growth
Gameplay & economy
Party-based RPG with tradable gear, and future NFT characters
$ASTR as premium currency: swap $ASTR→$LOOT for purchases + “$ASTR-themed” gear set coming soon
“We aim to build Web3’s first true fair-launch degen RPG — equal start for everyone, not just the first 100 players.”
Why it matters Simple loops, “number-go-up” appeal, and $ASTR as premium utility = a perfect recipe to onboard new users on-chain with minimal friction.
Animix Snap: Season 2 starts almost immediately after Season 1 (minimal downtime). New events beyond referrals.
LootCoin: Main launch and $LOOT mining kickoff; expect $ASTR-themed bundles and gear.
Zombie Idle Defense: $ASTR shop already live; more in-game $ASTR rewards coming for events and top players.
One wallet, multiple games: $ASTR as a shared denominator reduces friction and increases ecosystem stickiness.
Dev-friendly: incentives and WebShop-based discounts outside traditional app stores, higher conversion, existing Astar community.
User-centric: clear, visible benefits (discounts, rewards, themed bundles) — not abstract promises.
The takeaway from this roundtable is clear: integrations matter when they touch the gameplay. It’s not enough to “accept a token” — the key is making $ASTR unlock real, tangible advantages for players. Each team showcased it brilliantly — and the coming months will be the true test.
