The Artist's Oath
The Artist’s Oath is a personal commitment to how I show up creatively. It is a reminder to lead with integrity, to resist the pressure to perform, and to make work that reflects truth, not just what gets attention. It is a compass for navigating the tension between expression and permanence, and a way to stay rooted in what matters: presence, process, and purpose, not perfection.

We all face an internal battle between the ego and the Self.
The ego, a relentless force within us, constantly yearns for instant recognition, success, and validation, compelling us to chase after external achievements and status.
Meanwhile, the Self—the truest part of us—seeks genuine fulfillment and purpose.
Throughout my life, I’ve seen this play out in my career choices, academic pursuits, and artistic journey.
The ego pushed me toward accolades, degrees, and external validation, while the Self longed for meaningful connections and authentic expression.
The real challenge is knowing when the ego is in control and choosing to realign with the Self.
The path to self-fulfillment lies in making choices that deeply resonate with our true values, even when they don’t promise immediate rewards.
Ultimately, living in alignment with the Self is the only way to find true fulfillment.
