Decentralized Applications (DApps) exist in the web3 ecosystem, they run on a decentralized network of nodes, which allows them to be independent of centralized servers.

Their operation is based on blockchain and must meet criteria for consideration. They must be open source, be based on blockchain, use cryptographically encrypted tokens and allow token creation. Dapps must be based on open source, visible by third parties, which ensures that they are not dependent on centralized companies, a fundamental principle of their operation. In addition, they must secure user information through the security provided by the Blockchain, where the use of hashing allows data protection.
They do not depend on an entity to be managed
They can be modified and used by other developers
User data is not stored or shared with a company.
Decentralized backend by blockchain network
Transactions are documented by smart contracts.
Mastodon: is a decentralized microblogging social network. Unlike traditional social networks, Mastodon does not have a centralized server, instead, it works through multiple independent servers (instances) that communicate with each other. Users can choose the instance they prefer or even create their own, offering greater control over their social network experience and increased privacy.

Axie Infinity: is a cryptocurrency game based on the Ethereum Blockchain that allows users to breed, trade and fight digital creatures called "Axies". The game uses smart contracts to manage the ownership and transactions of Axies, giving players greater security and transparency in their in-game interactions.

Huddle01: is a web3 powered video conferencing platform with a focus on privacy. It allows users to organize virtual meetings, share files, assign tasks and collaborate on projects efficiently.

Decentralized applications represent a challenge for those who are familiar with the web2 and do not yet understand this new paradigm. Disclosure of information about DApps is crucial, as they offer unprecedented levels of security and have the potential to transform the way we collaborate online. Developers are invited to explore and experiment with these innovative technologies, which will not only open up new opportunities, but also bridge the digital divide and foster inclusion in the digital world.
