The Republic Square is not only the central place in the city but also very beautiful. In the whole circle, there are amazing buildings (5 pieces) with columns, made of the national stone "Tuv", which is very common in Armenia. The variety of shades of Tuv creates an absolutely unique image of the buildings. Carved patterns and plots that decorate the facades of buildings complete the picture 🔥
In the center of this composition is the Museum of History of Armenia with the square of fountains. On the right hand (if you move from Shaumyan Park) is the building of the Government of Armenia (with a flag and a clock). On the opposite side of the museum, there are hotels of international chains and restaurants, where you need to sign up in advance. Against this background it was all the more unexpected to find out that one building is just empty 🤷♂️ Some time ago it was bought out and now it is privately owned, but by some murky people who don't even live in Armenia....
The square with fountains in front of the museum is the center of attraction for walkers, and there are always a lot of people around it. In the evening all this patterned beauty of buildings is also illuminated, and the fountains work until late at night. A really beautiful and memorable place 😊
