ADHD is a complex disorder that can present itself in different ways for each individual. This can lead to misunderstandings and misunderstandings about ADHD. I am not an expert on neurodiversity and I didn’t sleep at a holiday inn last night but I was diagnosed with ADHD 10 years ago and have been an advocate and vocal supporter of changing the narrative and biases around all aspects of neurodiversity. To help better understand and embrace ADHD, I am creating a dynamic collection of AI art that highlights the many symptoms, implications, and strengths that exist within the ADHD spectrum. It is important to remember that individuals with ADHD are not broken, but simply different.

Through this collection, called "Shades of ADHD," I hope to empower others with ADHD to embrace their unique traits and better understand those around them who may also have ADHD.
As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia at the age of 31 (10 years ago), I know firsthand the transformative power of shifting one's mindset from feeling broken to embracing being different.

Reimagining Our View of Beauty
The world can be a beautiful place but for those of us with ADHD, the beauty doesn’t appear until we realize it wasn’t built for a neurodiverse brain. We must prioritize self-awareness so that we can redesign how we embrace our own beauty! Focusing on our strengths and accomplishments: Self-doubt can be fueled by a focus on our weaknesses and failures. By focusing on our strengths and accomplishments, we can begin to see ourselves in a more positive light and to feel more confident in our abilities.
Being hyperactive with ADHD can have some positive sides, such as increased energy and enthusiasm, a desire for excitement and novelty, and a tendency to be highly creative and imaginative. People with ADHD may also have a greater ability to multitask and think outside the box, which can be valuable in certain situations. Additionally, the impulsivity and spontaneity that often accompany ADHD can lead to impromptu acts of kindness and generosity, and a willingness to take risks and try new things. Overall, while ADHD can certainly present challenges, it can also bring some unique strengths and abilities.
Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another person, and can manifest in many different ways. Some people with ADHD may have a strong ability to put themselves in others' shoes and to understand and respond to their emotions, while others may have a more limited ability in this regard. Overall, the capacity for empathy is not a defining characteristic of ADHD and can vary widely among individuals with the disorder.
Being impulsive can sometimes be a good thing for people with ADHD. Impulsivity is one of the key symptoms of ADHD, and it can manifest in many different ways, such as making decisions without thinking, acting without considering the consequences, or interrupting others in conversation. While impulsivity can certainly cause problems and lead to impulsive behaviors that are harmful or dangerous, it can also have some positive sides. For example, impulsivity can lead to spontaneity and a willingness to try new things, which can be valuable in certain situations. Additionally, impulsivity can lead to quick thinking and the ability to act on opportunities that may arise in the moment, which can be beneficial in some cases. Overall, while impulsivity can be challenging for people with ADHD, it can also bring some unique strengths and abilities.
