The inaugural Film3 Festival proved to be nothing short of a success. Over the course of a packed 9-hour program, audiences were treated to 32 films spanning genres, formats, and visions—all paired with conversations that pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in decentralized and community-driven storytelling.
The festival wasn’t just about films; it was about ideas. Highlights included Musa Brooker (Stop Motion Director, Animator, and Producer), Rob Shaw (Emmy-winning Director and Animator), Suzanne Twining (Oscar-winning Animator), Sherry McCracken (Film3 Producer and Photographer), Cody Russell of YaBoy Nancy (Expert Storyteller and Community/World Builder), and Eric Brown from Ebert (3x Emmy-winning expert in Sound Design). Together, these voices lit up the stage with insights on creativity, technology, and the future of media.

While this year was about laying the foundation, Film3 Festival is already looking to the future. Goals for the next edition include:
Expanding the festival to reach more creators and audiences globally
Introducing awards to recognize excellence and innovation across Film3 projects
Hosting a Film3 Hackathon to bring filmmakers together from production to post to premiere
Offering hands-on workshops that give creators access to skills, mentorship, and collaboration
Building sponsorship opportunities to ensure Film3 has the support it needs to keep growing
Film3 Festival is more than an event—it’s a movement. Together, we’re rewriting how films are made, distributed, and experienced.
