You’re too scared of being disliked, and that’s killing your growth on CT.
I received hate for sharing my opinions on airdrops, but I don’t regret it.
While being polarising means that half the world dislikes me, I’m attracting the right people who resonate the most.
Here’s why I’m no longer afraid of sharing my thoughts online (even when I’ll get toxic comments):
AI is great at spitting out facts.
And if you’re doing the exact same, AI will outperform you because they can pump out content at a larger scale.
Purely informational content is useless in this age of infinite content.
The generic ‘how-to’ guides no longer work when everyone else can write the exact same ones as you.
Or the ‘BREAKING’ tweets where everyone rushes to be the first one who breaks the news and receive the most engagement.

Which AI can publish at a faster pace than what’s humanly impossible.
That’s why brand accounts or the typical KOL get barely any engagement because they have zero personality.

While accounts with the most engagement are always personal accounts, especially those with a strong opinion.
This was exactly the concern that one of my members in the 30-Day Signal Creator Challenge had:
Why would someone follow me if AI can write the same thing?

They will only follow you if they feel that they resonate with you.
This is done by sharing your authentic opinions:
Through all of your experiences in life, you will develop a perspective on the topics you write about.
It’s even better if you have a contrarian view about the topic you write about, because it helps you stand out.
But my advice is having these contrarian beliefs only because you truly believe in them, and not for the sake of believing in them.
Here are some of my opinions on airdrops that are different from others:
Airdrops will never be fair and someone will always lose
There’s no point in complaining because it clouds your judgment
We need both onchain and social reputation to get future airdrops
Grinding and farming airdrops is the wrong approach because it burns you out
You need a hardware wallet for airdrops to protect your onchain footprint
But because our takes are different from the status quo, we will meet nasty comments:
I tried pleasing everyone with my content, but eventually realised it’s pointless.
It felt so fake to me when trying to talk about POVs that I don’t agree with, just because they’re popular.
And that led me to share more of my true opinions online, with some of them being contrarian takes.
I used to get so affected by all the toxic comments on my posts, but I’ve learnt to manage them better:
There’s no point trying to convince those people that we’re right.
They have their opinion, and I’m wasting my time trying to convince them of mine.
Especially if they’re overly emotional, as that clouds their judgment.

I’ve followed the same path to just mute all the toxic accounts and move on.
In the case of airdrops, there are many ways to get rich.
My strategy is not perfect, and I will look like a fool to those who are printing 4-5 figures through their methods.
And I have met my fair share of emotional labels:
Project bootlicker (before Kaito became a craze)
Idiot for not yapping mindlessly (I don’t want to lose trust)

A hater of airdrop farmers (I don’t hate them, I just think grinding is a lost cause)
Our opinions are based on our experiences.
When we share them online, we share the lens through which we view the world, which will either be the same or different from others.
We will have haters because someone strongly disagrees with how we view the world (because they have different experiences from us).
But I would ignore them completely and focus on these instead:
The other 50% will love your content and feel like you’re speaking their thoughts out loud.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and while we focus too much on the negativity:
There will be others who agree completely with you.

Some would even help to defend you when you’re being attacked (it’s happened to me multiple times):

I used to care too much about the negative comments and get overly anxious about them.
But I’ve learnt to mute them and move on.
Instead, I’m focusing on building the relationship with my real audience:
Those who would spread our opinions for us

Those who actively seek out our content

Those who binge all of our content in one sitting

The ultimate hack happens when your audience spreads your message without you having to beg for RTs and likes.

They resonate so strongly with your opinions that they’ll continue spreading your message.
We build a trusted audience because we’re doing this:
Enemies are the prerequisite to a cult-like audience:
One that follows us because they like us, regardless of the topic that we talk about.
To create a strong bond with our audience, we need to have a common enemy.
One that forms an ‘Us vs Them’ mentality and gives us a shared vision.
I have tons of enemies when establishing my brand:
Kaito yappers
Airdrop farmers
And those who are against these enemies will naturally resonate strongly with my content.
So many accounts are too scared of sharing their thoughts online, especially when it comes to projects on yapper leaderboards:
They are too scared that if they share their honest opinions, they will lose their rankings.
Projects are at fault too because some disincentivise you from sharing critical feedback about them.
This comes as a dilemma for most creators:
Share their honest opinions about the project and risk losing their rankings
Only shill the project and lose trust with their audience

#1 may cause you to lose short-term cash, but you maintain trust with your audience.
Which is an even more valuable asset to own.
Your audience values real opinions and not ones that you’re paid to post.

In this trust recession, accounts with the most trust will build long-term wealth.
And here’s one more benefit of having an opinion:
If you ask AI to write an article on how to earn $100k from airdrops, it will pump out generic advice.
But after adding more context through our experiences and opinions:
AI sees the topic through your lens and can be more specific in the content it creates.
AI is great at amplifying ideas, but they need to come from us first.
I’m using AI to generate more ideas based on the current long-form pieces that I’ve written by myself.
With my library of content, AI will come up with more specific posts because it knows my world view and writing style.
So it won’t churn out the typical slop that so many would instantly mute.
We stand out by having an opinion, not by being yet another NPC that’s neutral.
Don’t be afraid of hate, because it will always be there (and you can always mute them).
So choose to go hard on your beliefs, and you’ll naturally build a cult-like audience around your brand.
Others won’t follow you based on the amount of information you give.
Because AI will provide more information than you ever could.
Instead, they follow you because of your taste:
You think for yourself instead of letting others (or the algo) dictate your worldview.

You have a point of view to navigate the sea of noise and identify signal.
So use that to your advantage and stand out from AI.
Give people a reason to follow you instead of becoming ‘just another account’.
The path to achieve this is to become a Signal Creator, as I shared here.
If you are tired of burning out by grinding mindlessly for airdrops, there is another way.
To earn rewards just by being yourself, build a reputation that compounds by joining the 30-Day Signal Creator Challenge.

Bold, contrarian opinions stand out and attract the right audience while inviting toxicity; half will hate, half will love. Authentic perspective beats generic AI content, with focus on trust, onchain and social reputation, and building a loyal following through genuine engagement. @fipcrypto
