At the top of the page: click on “Network”, then click on “Wallet Portal” to choose a wallet:
Choose “Ethereum Wallet” as available option:
Set up (or connect your existing) Metamask wallet:
Deposit some ETH for fees:
You can use a credit card or withdraw from a centralized exchange. However, we recommend to bridge funds to get a higher score for the airdrop. Here we choose the cross-chain bridge zkSync. Please note that in fore example in ARB’s airdrop rules, the score was calculated based on how many assets you moved cross-chain, so you can cross-chain more ETH back and forth for improving your score. We recommend to interact with 4 cross-chain bridges: LayerSwap, Orbiter, zkSync, and ZigZag:
Wait until deposit is confirmed:
After the deposit is confirmed, go to the “NFT” tab at the top of the page:
Authorization is required for the first time. After authorization, you will need to fill in hash or CID (What is a CID: To mint an NFT, you should import a file into an InterPlanetary File System. There are plenty of services you can choose from that provide IPFS-protocol support. After the import, your file will get a unique Content Identifier (CID). With its help, anyone can retrieve its content on IPFS Network and assure your file remains decentralized, resilient and, persistently available.)
CID can be obtained from this website: dashboard.4everland.org (Note: When you visit this website for the first time you have to connect your wallet (in our case: Metamask). If the website asks you to claim some free resources, then just choose claim)
Click on “New Bucket” and name it whatever you want:
Note: If this website does not work properly and you cannot create a bucket, then just download the IPFS desktop application and upload a file to IPFS to get a CID: https://github.com/ipfs/ipfs-desktop/releases (under “Assets” simply download the .exe file to get the correct Windows installer)
Then click “Upload” and “Selected File” to upload a picture:
Copy CID, then go back to the Zksync official website, click mint NFT and paste the CID, then mint it:
Completed:
Now you have your own exclusive NFT, you can bridge it to L1, or send it to anyone, you can create a few more NFTs for the purpose of sending/extracting to L1 (note: need to wait for mint transaction to get verified).
Next: trade/swap on zkSync, open:
You can trade at will. We recommend to make at least 25 transactions inititally, and after that trade 1-2 times a week with a minimum of 10$ value per transaction. Due to the end of the Gitcoin donation activity, we are waiting for v2 to start. The above is the entire ZK 1.0 interaction process. 2.0 is coming, and zk's ecosystem is about to be fully released in spring.
Note: There is also the option to set up a “premium account” for the airdrop. The minimum requirement for this is to reach a minimum of 250,000$ equivalent in trading value, corresponding to 250 transactions per with a volume of 1000$.
