Channels v2 isn’t just a level up for the features on OmniFlix to get it ready for a new UX and the launch of upcoming Media tooling (release of OmniFlix Node). Powered by smart contracts and built for ease of use, simplicity and a more engaging experience that the creators and community truly deserves.
Here’s what’s waiting for you:
Channels are now backed by smart contracts — making your media experience secure, transparent, and way easy to use.
Want to share content without creating NFTs? You can now publish videos directly - no tokenisation required. It’s fast and super easy to bring your content to OmniFlix TV.
New channel pages on OmniFlix TV & Studio for the audience
Receive tips in $FLIX and other supported tokens. Earnings can be split automatically with collaborators — no middlemen. And users will be able to follow channels.
Invite team members to collaborate and co-create content. Team work makes the dream work.
Curate playlists from your content or from other channels — a powerful tool for discovery and storytelling.
Simple migration One-click upgrade, no re-uploads required. Your existing videos are automatically carried over. Here are the steps:
a) Log in on app.OmniFlix.studio by connecting your wallet, and then go to the Channels tab
b) Once you click on ‘Migrate Now‘ you will see a pop asking you to confirm or edit your Username and Display name
c) Click on continue and then approve the transaction.
d) You will see a progress bar showing the migration to Channels v2. And it will only take a few seconds.
e) Congratulations your Channel has been migrated to v2. You can check out that all your media is also visible on the new interface.
There will be a one-time fee of 10 $FLIX max for gas and setup. No hidden costs.
Migration window Start migrating from June 12, 2025. The earlier you switch, the sooner you benefit from v2’s new features and visibility.
Why migrate now Channels still on v1 will be gradually removed from OmniFlix.tv. Migrate early to stay discoverable and active on the platform.
