Fam, OmniFlix Network is thrilled to announce the successful launch of FLIX token on April 20th via StreamSwap Protocol on Osmosis blockchain, with 3,133 unique accounts participating in price discovery for FLIX!

The community-driven nature of OmniFlix has been years in the making, and we're excited to share the results. Below is an overview of the event, the teams involved, and the final results

The journey began in April 2022 when Sistla, the builder of OmniFlix, asked Sunny (building Osmosis) "wen LBPv2?".

From that moment, the collaboration between the Osmosis and OmniFlix teams took off, leading to the development of the Golang module and after that, the smart contract version was discussed at Cosmoverse 2022.

With a solid foundation in place with respect to the mechanism, architecture and stack, the Flix Crew and StreamSwap DAO worked together to move the contracts to the audit phase, carried out by Oak Security starting in Feb 2023. Following the successful audit in March 2023, the teams prepared for the mainnet deployment.

We are grateful to the community for supporting the proposal to deploy StreamSwap on Osmosis. A special mention goes to the Osmosis team for their timely assistance, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for everyone involved.

Prior to the mainnet launch, an engaging Trading Competition took place on the Osmosis testnet to stress test StreamSwap. In this event, 2739 accounts took part across 3 StreamSwap streams, each lasting 1 hour and having a Bootstrapping Period of the same duration.

The objective was to earn the most ssFLIX using ssOSMO. This resulted in a number of strategies and UX related observations from participants, which helped in improving the overall state of the app by the mainnet launch.

Every StreamSwap launch has two phases: Bootstrapping and Streaming. For the FLIX/OSMO genesis stream, the Bootstrapping Phase lasted 39 hrs, followed by a 1-hour Streaming Phase. To know more about StreamSwap, check out the official blog post introducing the protocol.

During the Bootstrapping Phase, 620K+ OSMO were deposited, setting the stage for the Streaming Phase, which lasted for 1 hour. A lot happened during the Bootstrapping Phase. Below are tweets leading up-to the event:

The FLIX token was visible and available for access on the Osmosis main app.

Just 5hrs before the Streaming Phase started, Keplr went live with the integration of the OmniFlix native app.

This was massive!

At the end of the Streaming Phase, 640,170 OSMO were swapped for 1M FLIX 🔥

The StreamSwap Streaming Phase was well worth the 36 + hrs wait. It was an exciting experience, akin to the climax of a thrilling movie or game, and we’re glad that everyone was able to enjoy it in the same spirit to the fullest!

A summary of stats with respect to the genesis FLIX / OSMO stream, are as follows:

• The Bootstrapping Phase & Streaming Phases were 36 + hrs and 1 hr respectively.

• The stream was created to swap FLIX for OSMO

• A total of 620K+ OSMO were used to subscribe during the Bootstrapping Phase

• A total of 1M FLIX were streamed during the Streaming Phase

• Finally, a total of 640,170 OSMO were swapped for 1M FLIX by the end of the Streaming Phase

• Some more stats to help you understand how the stream performed:

  • Total OSMO subscriptions during the Bootstrapping Phase - ~620K+ OSMO

  • Total participants - 3133

  • Average deposited tokens - ~204 OSMO

  • Average received tokens - ~319 FLIX

The FLIX token launch saw numerous milestones achieved on & around 4/20.
