Navigate to Polygon Scan, the bottom of the webpage, and click polygon network.
Approve on Metamask
You will be directed to switch to Polygon’s Mainnet now in the network dropdown.
Select Matic Mainnet
Select Add Network
Enter in the polygon mainnet settings as follows.
Network Name: Polygon New RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com or https://rpc-mainnet.matic.network or https://rpc-mainnet.maticvigil.com or https://rpc-mainnet.matic.quiknode.pro ChainID: 137 Symbol: MATIC Block Explorer URL: https://polygonscan.com/
