Polygon ($MATIC) is an Ethereum token that powers the Polygon Network — a protocol and framework for building and connecting Ethereum-compatible blockchain networks. Polygon is what's known as a Layer-2 solution, designed to help scale the Ethereum network and improve its functionality.
Navigate to Polygon Scan, the bottom of the webpage, and click polygon network.
Approve on Metamask
You will be directed to switch to Polygon’s Mainnet now in the network dropdown.
Select Matic Mainnet
Select Add Network
Enter in the polygon mainnet settings as follows.
Network Name: Polygon New RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com or https://rpc-mainnet.matic.network or https://rpc-mainnet.maticvigil.com or https://rpc-mainnet.matic.quiknode.pro ChainID: 137 Symbol: MATIC Block Explorer URL: https://polygonscan.com/
