We love watching videos.Videos are windows into people's worlds. Videos tell stories that inspire us, teach us, entertain us, and help us grow. It doesn't matter who you are, where you're from, or what you do. You can think of at least one video that's changed your life. That's the power that videos have. The power to connect with us to make our lives better. A majority of internet bandwidth is used to watch videos.Sources: Sandvine, CommScope, CartesianVideo ✨should✨...

At Glass, we believe that videos are powerful. Videos tell stories. Videos are windows to the world. But right now, video creators do not have control over their own videos. Platforms like YouTube and TikTok decide when, who, and how much money your videos are worth.
The number of views is NOT how we should value creators. Music means so much more than a fraction of a penny.
https://twitter.com/ImanEurope/status/1461026473456721920?s=20
So we set out to change that - by giving video creators and collectors a way to make WAY more on art that genuinely makes lives better.
From the very beginning, we’ve focused on music videos.
The first ever Glass NFT was a music video.

When it comes to telling visual stories for your music, you should have as much freedom as possible. At Glass, we’ve spent a lot of time building out the infrastructure to support both:
a blazingly fast upload experience for creators
a blazingly fast watching experience for viewers
That way, artists have no limits for what they can create as NFTs.
Zora is very much aligned with Glass on the mission to create “new infrastructure, something transparent, ownable, accessible, financially sustainable, where we can share the value we create, something for the community, something that’s ours.”
That’s why we are very excited to commemorate our new partnership with Zora with platinum-selling artist Two Feet’s new music video, Until I Come Home. You can learn more about the video here and watch it here 👇

So how do Zora and Glass work together?
A creator uploads their video on Glass.
Glass turns the giant raw video file into a super fast, playable format, stored permanently on Arweave.
The creator mints their video as an NFT on Glass, using Zora’s open NFT contract.
The creator approves and puts their video up for auction on Glass, using Zora’s open Auction House contract
Voilà - the video NFT is up for auction! And the best part, collectors can bid on it on both Glass and Zora.
Here is Two Feet’s video on Zora:

And here it is on Glass:

In the coming weeks, we plan on dropping more music videos on Glass using Zora’s Auction House - to showcase the power of web3 communities coming together to change the narrative.
The current system is fucked. Creators deserve much more - and by working together we can change the very nature of how art gets made.
If you support us in this mission, drop Zora a follow, us a follow, and drop a bid on our latest music video! ❤️
