Rockets strike Kyiv amid invasion[/caption]
Coming out from many images and videos of Russian / Ukrainian situation or, conflict coming for who I follow is,… deeply disturbing and gut retching to watch what’s being done to its citizens, many are even hurt due to all the attacks on many Ukraine citizens and the destruction left behind by Russian soldiers.
This has been very difficult to write about the situation currently as someone here living in the United States that doesn’t fully understand the complete contents of war (Invasion of Ukraine). From understanding other people's points of view on Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine, Many Russians do not support what’s going on with the invasion, There have been many protests throughout many cities in Russia that are heavily against the invasion. I’ve been following many Russian language speakers on Instagram that posted stories of them and their families and their side of the story.
In the events reported by Kyiv Post titled Russia’s War on Ukraine: Day Three Situation
Here AFP describes the situation, based on statements from both sides as well as assessments by the Western defense and intelligence officials.
Ground situation “Russian ground forces have pressed deep into Ukraine from the north, east and south but have encountered resistance from Ukrainian troops whose intensity has likely surprised Moscow, according to Western sources.
“Russia has made some progress in its operations. But Ukraine retains control of the key cities,” said a Western official, who asked not to be named. The official said that the Ukrainian military was offering “strong resistance” in key cities, expressing fear over the potential “indiscriminate” use of violence by Russia if its timescale for the invasion was not met. Ukraine’s military said Russia had attacked troops on Victory Avenue that leads to the center of Kyiv but that the assault had been “repulsed”. Russia has so far not succeeded in fully taking any Ukrainian city, although its forces have been bearing down on Kyiv as well as Kharkiv, which lies close to the Russian border.”
So now it's already happened. I feel very sorry about what many through in Ukraine, I do not support this reckless war and can not stand what has happened already. I can’t even stand wars in general. The chess game politicians playing with the lives of millions living in Ukraine is sickening! Watching the stories I almost feel very helpless; like I can’t do anything about what’s happening right now. It's just a BIG Geo-political Shit Show! What wars do to people scars them; something that can’t be healed overnight. I am opposed to what has happened! This is something I'm speaking up against this, as a U.S citizen. I can see we're coming to the edge of World War 3. Most likely all diplomacy is off the tables for both U.S and Russia. This is why it's necessary more than ever for Anti-War Movement to be pushed, I'm glad many Russians are opposed to what their governments doing. More people do need to stand this, My country (The United States) is more involved in this game of chess, we must unite for peace
