April 20th was the day that Mibera did its first reveal - Easter and 4:20, resurrection and divine return vs. a countercultural celebration of altered states, spiritual defiance, and euphoric transcendence. Together, they form a potent duality: sacred ritual vs. psychedelic vision, ritual death vs. ecstatic rebirth, tradition vs. rebellion. Both are, in their own way, about transformation - of the body, of perception, of reality itself. And this foreshadowed the shape of Mibera's unravelling, unveiling. Messy. Disorienting. And deeply intentional.

Astrology is one of the languages I know best, so I looked to the chart of the project's inception. Libra rising - ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, love, and desire; located in Leo; and housed in the 11th - a house associated with collective dreams, future prophecy. This is the house of the Good Daemon, of blessings, and of having friend in high places. And here, Venus is Retrograde, and in her exile, her reversal, her retreat into shadow. This already suggests something unconventional: a vision of beauty not immediately recognized, a muse turned inwards, performing her magic through confusion, delay, and transformation.

unlike other planets, venus only retrogrades once every 18 to 24 months - like a cosmic bull-and-bear cycle - and lasts 40 days. venus spends 9 months as a morning star, then disappears for 40 days during its retrograde. after this underworld journey, it re-emerges as an evening star for another 9 months.
the ancients had a story for this. they saw venus’s disappearance as a descent into the underworld—and her return as transformation. this is the myth of inanna, the sumerian goddess of love, war, and beauty, queen of heaven and earth.
and it was during this dark window, this 40-day disappearance, @miberamaker333 came as a vision to @deepname99 —when venus, the third-brightest light in the sky, was nowhere to be seen. Venus vanished, but Mibera arrived.
and so, the ancient story goes:
from the great above, inanna opened her ear to the great below. the moaning of her fearsome, wrathful, envious sister, ereshkigal, queen of the underworld, called her. and inanna answered. and descended below.
but ereshkigal had called her to die.
inanna was turned into a corpse and hung on a meat hook. her allies descended to plead for her return. they met ereshkigal not with anger, not with force nor decree. but with compassion and the act of witnessing ereshkigal's pain and not turning away. this echo of grief met with love.
by honoring ereshkigal’s pain—by witnessing it—inanna was freed. and by recognizing our own ereshkigal, in all her greed, messiness, and suffering, we are also freed. and this is how transformation begins.
in this life, all parts of the self want to be known, and all your monsters want to be heroines.
miladies is to mibera as ereshkigal is to inanna. or maybe the metaphor is messier than that. it probably is. it resists clean symmetry.

if milady is born of sky and cathedral, mibera is born of root and shadow. they are not opposites—they are continuums. twin spirits, one seen, one hidden.

Mibera was never meant to arrive clean.

It came through misrecognition. the unveiling was a decoy—ugly, bewildering, incomplete. miladies on berachain: not the art, but the bait. the crucifixion before the glory. and then Jani disappeared for three days.
during those days, FUD bloomed like mold in a sealed jar. laughter. mockery. confusion. the timeline grew silent.
and the project, for many, echoed of failure. Miladies on Berachain hung suspending - like inanna on the meat hook. like christ entombed.
but in the hush, something else was born: a community built of those withs eyes that See and ears that Hear. And they Knew.
the fakeout was the death.
the disappearance was the tomb.
death before rebirth. embarrassment before emergence. silence before speech.
Mibera was resurrection.
