Farcaster has been a great place for me these past months. It took me a few weeks/a month to find my ground on here.
I asked myself, "Why not make use of my knowledge here? Why not create a safe space for people as regards their health?" It was World Physiotherapy Day yesterday, 8 September 2024. In honour of this day, I have decided to create HEALTH-HIVE.
I told myself I was not going to make this a boring read for you guys, so I'll make this more interactive and personal. A few of us must have seen my casts these past weeks. A work in progress, but that's not all.
I have a lot more in store for us, and to kickstart this channel, we have testimonies featuring some of our Farcaster community members, narrating the role of physiotherapy in situations of their lives, which I’ll be sharing with us. So, enjoy the ride, kick back, and relax!
For our Farcaster members featured;
NAOMI
Here, we have Naomi's story. Her story is probably well known to some of us. She had a little bump on the road in her journey as an athlete. But all thanks to her resilience and determination, physiotherapy played a great role in her recovery!

CAMERON
Cameron also shared his story about his time during training for the US army. One thing I know about him is how he does not believe in giving up. Physiotherapy helped in that situation too!

MARCELA
Marcela was my first ever reason to keep on posting about physiotherapy in the Farcaster space. No better physical therapy advocate lol. It's been a journey for her with physiotherapy. There were times when she wanted to give up but, well, she didn't.

JACOB
One thing anyone who follows me will know is how much I love paediatric physiotherapy. So, Jacob sharing his story about the role of PT in his daughter's rehabilitation with us is really special to me. Oh and guess what? She plays basketball now. How great!

GWYNNE
Michele! She shared her journey with physiotherapy, recovering from the tibial plateau fracture she suffered from a road traffic accident. She never hides the fact that she appreciates the journey and process. There's more of her story to be shared in subsequent times.

PFISTA
Michael shared his story about his shoulder. But I cannot be the only one who would have thought that to be a superpower! All thanks to Mom, he was able to have physical therapy to prevent any complications.

I bet we all have one or two, or even more, stories about how physical therapy might have come into play in our lives, and I would love for us all to share them and appreciate it's role in our lives.
The aim of Health-Hive is to avoid any restrictions in the type of health discussions we can have in this space. So, to kickstart this week, our first week in Health Hive, make casts about your health journeys, either past, present, or ones you are about to embark on, appreciate your health, and let us all share with each other.
It's a safe space, and let's all share our stories; nothing is too little to appreciate.
Don't forget to send in your health journey stories on the channel. If you have any questions or suggestions, they are all welcome. Have a great week; we'll be back with more for you, consistently.
Have a great month ahead!
Appreciate the journey, and stay grateful.
