The best state of life is to be curious externally, to be determined internally, to return enthusiasm to life, and to remain calm in the face of adversity. In fact, it is not difficult to be a curious person, and it is not difficult to be a determined person, but it is difficult to have both.
Due to the needs of my work, I travel around the world all year round, and I can be regarded as an out-and-out "citizen of the world". What I have found after going through various journeys is that one may never know what the real world is like until one has experienced it firsthand. However, the so-called "opening the horizon" does not just refer to going to a few places and having more overseas experiences, but also refers to a perspective and attitude of observing the world, to oneself, to life, to society...the wider the horizon , the more it can bring a broader pattern and more opportunities.

I see a very interesting group phenomenon: many young people have very good grades or have a lot of club experience, but they are still rejected by the world's top universities. Is it because China's modern education is backward? Of course not, the internationalization of Chinese education is developing rapidly, and students have world-class teachers and learning environments that are not inferior. In fact, what these young people lack is not intelligence or vision, but a kind of thinking art and thinking aesthetics, that is, "4Cs": creativity, collaboration, communication and criticality critical thinking.
The world in the eyes of everyone is not the same, but different. Seeing the world is a step-by-step process and a path to gradually open one's heart. In the exploration of the world, it is the true meaning of knowing oneself constantly, finding the meaning of life, and maintaining lifelong learning.
Is it difficult to know yourself? Socrates thought "knowing yourself" was the hardest. Our life is nothing but the process of discovering ourselves. There may be a little "trick" here.
There is a saying that "knowledge does not necessarily have culture", first of all, we must develop a habit of logical thinking to do real-time calibration. The knowledge acquired by complacent and blind study can only become the characters in the memory, but cannot be internalized into one's own thoughts. Therefore, it is necessary to clarify whether what you are learning is knowledge itself, or the ability to solve puzzles; whether you can see the essence under the phenomenon; and what is the truth under the fog. This habit helps to do periodic retrospectives so that you don't get caught up in a specific issue.
When you have a relatively objective judgment on the outside world, you have the opportunity to look inward and find the true self. The self that others see, whether it is appearance, behavior, or personality, is usually only a part of oneself, and sometimes it is just the self that one wants others to see, and it may even be a kind of paralysis. In many cases, the truth is unexpected. For example, I am a successful professional woman in front of the world, but at heart I am a super emotional artist. This process of peeling the cocoon layer by layer and finding myself is indeed difficult, but it is also very interesting and meaningful.

When the real self and the real world begin to collide, it is probably the most interesting journey. Every bit of this journey is a harvest, and every minute and second is precious.
The understanding of the external world is often a reflection of the inner world and promotes each other. Parents give us life, and life gives us meaning. What kind of person you live as, after all, depends on your own thinking and choices, regardless of age or gender. I have always believed that the enthusiasm of the heart is like summer flowers, and I would like to burn with such enthusiasm.
I hope you can also find yourself, and find that curious, determined and enthusiastic heart.
